What are SMS delivery regulations in particular countries?

SMS feature is available only in MAX plans. Click here to learn more about GetResponse MAX.

Due to the risk of SMS mass pumping attacks increasing on a global scale, note that whenever you’re launching a campaign in a new market you should get familiar with local market-specific guidelines directly from our provider Vonage website. We’re not able to ensure top-notch deliverability without meeting those requirements by our customers, often this means P2P contact with Vonage to go through formalities:

Country-Specific Features and Restrictions – Vonage API Support

In some countries outside European Union, delivery is only on best-effort basis (e.g. Middle Eastern countries and Africa). It means we’ll do our best to deliver the message but can’t guarantee a successful delivery.

For some destinations delivery reports from carriers could be unavailable. In some destinations, Alphanumeric or numeric Sender Name won’t be supported.

Please check rules for your SMS destination in the table below or contact us in case you have more questions or uncertainties. Carriers in some destinations might not support message concatenation (messages longer than 160 characters) or unicodes in SMS content.

If you require support with your sender name pre-registration, please contact our Customer Success Team.
