How to add a new “From” address and name for my messages?

Starting in February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo are rolling up new authentication requirements which require using a custom DKIM authenticated domain with DMARC reinforced.

GetResponse strongly advises all senders to use emails addresses from own sending domains as a from field, and to configure both DKIM and DMARC.

Adding a new from email address

You can add email addresses in the Emails and domain section under Tools. If you’d like a specific address to automatically appear in your message from field, select it as the default address.

To add an from email address:

  1. Go to Tools >> Emails and domains and click Add email.
  2. In a pop-up modal, enter your name and email address. Click Add.
  3. The email address is added to the list as Unconfirmed. We automatically send a confirmation message to the new address. Once you confirm the new address, the status will change to Confirmed. You can then start using it as a from address for your messages and confirmation emails.

You can delete or send another confirmation email for all your unconfirmed addresses. Click on the Actions menu (3 dots) on the right of the email address and select Delete or Resend request.

From email address statuses

Your email deliverability can be affected by the domain you’re using. We tell you which email address can cause delivery issues, based on whether a given domain has or hasn’t adopted a DMARC policy.

You can get detailed information about statuses here.

  2. Find your domain name and the from email address, that you want to edit.
  3. Hover over the Actions menu (three vertical dots) and click Edit name.
