How to define the time when my workflow starts and ends?

You may define the time when your workflow starts by clicking on the gear icon on the top right of the marketing automation editor, opening the Settings, and defining the start and end time of your workflow.

Why would I want to define when my workflow starts and ends?

You may want to define a start and end time for your workflow if it’s time or season-specific.

For example, if you create a workflow to promote a specific event, you can specify that the workflow should stop on the end date of your event. In this case, you don’t have to worry about the current step where contacts are within the workflow. It’s more important that they no longer receive event reminders after the event has taken place.

If you have a seasonal business, you could proactively set up a workflow to remind your contacts of your seasonal offer. For example, winter tire change notifications starting in November. You can set the start time for the time good for your business, and the end time once it’s no longer applicable. For example, the winter tire workflow can automatically end in February as winter wraps up.
