Does my landing page come with a thank you page?
A thank you page is what your subscriber sees when they fill out the form. It’s a good idea to design it with as much care and attention as the main page to make your subscriber feel appreciated. It’s also a great place to add links to your lead magnets, such as ebooks or training videos. This way they will only become accessible as a reward when someone fills out the opt-in form.
Most of our landing page templates come with their own default thank-you pages. Its design matches the design of the template. You can edit it inside the Landing Page Editor. The thank-you page editor comes with the same editing tools as the main landing page.
Editing the thank you page
- In the landing page editor, expand the Home menu at the top.
- Click Thank You Page.
Configuring thank you page settings
If your template doesn’t have a thank you page, or you prefer using your own page, you can do that in the sign up form preferences:
- Click anywhere at the background of your landing page form.
- Expand Success view in the panel on the right. You will find three options to choose from:
- Show a message – to keep visitors on the same page after subscription and show them the message you entered in the field below
- Redirect to another page or site – to redirect them to another page or site. You can redirect to:
- External page or website – enter any URL that shows after submitting a form
- Landing page – select a GetResponse landing page
- Legacy landing page – select a GetResponse legacy landing page
- Custom protocol – enter a custom URL that does not have http(s) address. You can find out more about it here.
- Website – select a website created in GetResponse
- After selecting the desired option there is no need to save it, it saves automatically.
Steps for legacy landing pages
Default thank you pages can be edited it inside the Landing Page Editor by clicking the Thank you page tab.
If you’d rather use your own page as a thank-you page, you can do that in the landing page settings:
- Click Next step in the Landing Page Editor.
- Scroll down to Subscription settings.
- Click the drop-down menu next to the Thank-you page section.
- Click Custom.
- Enter the URL of the page you want to use.
- Confirm your settings by clicking Save or Publish. You’re done!
