Can I add role email addresses to my list of contacts?
Role addresses are group inboxes intended to be used by a group of people, for example a company’s department, or even an entire organisation. In such a case, mailing permission will never be valid, as it must be provided by each recipient individually. Due to this fact, role addresses are not accepted within the platform and will be excluded from your import. Quite often, such addresses end up on lists when they are sourced from public directories, which is not a practice allowed by our Terms of Service – mailing such segments will lead to spam complaints and/or bounces – more information about our requirements can be found here.
As a general rule, we recommend that you avoid adding addresses containing local parts such as info@ or office@ (and similar) to your account – they might reject your imports and cause deliverability-related issues.
The following is a list of currently blocked email localparts – please do note that it is subject to change.
