# How to assign directories to my landing pages?

If your [domain](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-to-assign-my-own-domain-to-the-landing-page.html) or [subdomain](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-to-assign-my-own-subdomain-to-the-landing-page.html) is linked with a website or landing page in GetResponse, you can additionally use domain directories. You can have as many directories as you need.

You can use domains and directories when:

* You want your domain name to appear in the landing page URL.
* You’d like to publish multiple landing pages.
* You don’t have a pre-existing website at your domain (unless it is a GetResponse one).

You can use subdomains and directories when:

* You want your domain name to appear in the landing page URL.
* You’d like to quickly publish multiple landing pages.
* You have a pre-existing non-GetResponse website at your domain.
* You’d like to use the subdomains to organize your product sales according to seasons, markets, or other categories that fit your business needs.

**Example**

You own a domain getresponse.com. You’re running a sale on three of your products, and you want a dedicated landing page for each of the products. You need to:

1. Assign your domain to your [landing page](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-to-assign-my-own-domain-to-the-landing-page.html) or [website](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-can-i-assign-my-own-domain-to-my-website.html).
2. Create a directory for each of the landing pages featuring your products.

In this case, the landing page URL for each product contains the domain name and the directory:

*   getresponse.com/product1
*   getresponse.com/product2
*   getresponse.com/product3
