# How to add a timer to my form or popup?

How to add a timer?
-------------------

To add a timer:

1.  Go to **[Forms and popups](https://app.getresponse.com/popups)** and click on the name.

2.  Click **Edit design**.

3.  Click **Add elements** icon.

4.  Drag and drop **Timer** into your popup.

**Note**: The timer language is determined by your form’s language settings. To change the language displayed on the timer, [follow these instructions](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-do-i-change-the-language-of-non-editable-elements-in-the-form.html).

How to edit a timer?
--------------------

To edit a timer:

Click on the timer inside your popup. That will show you timer options divded into four sections:

1.  **Type** – here you can select the timer type (**Evergreen** or **Fixed date**) and provide either **Countdown duration** or **Fixed date**, depending on your choice. You also can choose the timer format here.
2.  **Counter design** – place where you set the timer font, font size, font style, font color, background color, padding, border, and radius.
3.  **Label design** – place where you set the label font, font size, font style, and font color.
4.  **Block settings** – expand to adjust visual options of the whole button block.
