# Can I move my contacts from one list to another as a result of a marketing automation workflow?

Yes, you can move your contacts from one list to another within your marketing automation workflow. To do this, you would use the **Move to list** action, and drag it into the workspace, connecting it to the proper corresponding condition, action, or filter.

Once you add the **Move to list** action to the workspace, you need to choose the list the contact should be moved to.

Next, choose whether you want to add contacts to the autoresponder cycle or not.

* **[Autoresponder cycle](https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-do-i-create-an-autoresponder.html#:~:text=autoresponder%20sent%20on.-,What%20is%20autoresponder%20cycle%20day%3F,-Autoresponder%20cycle%20day)** day determines when your autoresponder will go out to a contact. The chosen number corresponds to the days since sign-up when the autoresponder message should go out, for example: the **Day 1** message is sent 1 day after subscribing to the list. Decide from which day of the cycle contacts should start after being moved to the list.

If you connect a **Move to list** action with another action, condition, or filter, the automation will be performed on the contact in the list it was moved to.

When you move contacts, their tags, scoring value and the most recent scoring history are moved, too.
