New GetResponse pricing
Christopher, 22 Feb 2006

Alongside the upcoming thorough revamp and expansion of GetResponse, you will be pleased to know that...

GetResponse is about to offer an ultra-competitive pricing for frequent mailouts, newsletter hosting and large mailing lists!

You know that at GetResponse we have always listened to our users and as a result, we are pleased to introduce a new pricing model that will give you more control over your email marketing activities, at a significantly lower cost.

The new service fee structure makes it very affordable to manage *both small and large lists*, and in addition to unlimited marketing campaigns and follow-up messages, now the subscribers will be able to send *unlimited broadcast messages* too!

Consequently, GetResponse users will benefit from the ability to send out newsletters, product announcements, offers, and email postcards as often as they like, no matter how big their mailing lists are.

Therefore, to let our users receive more for less, effective March 1, 2006, the service fee will depend on the total number of their subscribers, i.e. all of their campaigns, newsletters, lists, etc. *at their peak* in the billing month.

The first 10,000 subscribers will be included in the current service price, $17.95 per month. For every additional 5,000 subscribers, an extra $4.50 per month will be charged, in arrears, after 30 days.

Individual plans will adjust automatically with list expansions.

Due to the dynamic sizes of mailing lists, the ongoing $4.50 per 5,000 subscriber charges cannot be pre-paid. Therefore, in the case of all GetResponse prepaid customers (i.e. 3, 6, 12-months paid in advance), the expanded mailing list usage fee will be assessed *monthly*, per the logic above.

Approx. 70% of our customers use broadcasts (i.e. a manual follow-up) to stay in touch with their subscribers, send their newsletters, deliver their product announcements, promote their special offers etc.

These customers will save over 50% and benefit from more freedom (i.e. they will be able to send *unlimited* broadcast announcements and newsletters, instead of being able to send email to only 1,000 subscribers a day).

Here are two relevant examples:

Example #1:

A GetResponse user has 9,000 subscribers on her list and wants to send broadcast announcements to her list on a regular basis.

In the "old" model, a GetResponse user with a list of 9,000 email addresses would only be able to send one broadcast announcement a day up to just 1,000 subscribers.

If this user wanted to "upgrade" her account to be able to send up to 10,000 messages a day, she would need to pay an additional "broadcast extension fee" of $29.95 per month.

In the new model, the user is able to send *unlimited* broadcasts to her list of 9,000 subscribers, without paying anything extra! (i.e. this is included in the $17.95/mo price).

This means that the user saves $29.95 (or 63%) in the new model!

Example #2:

A GetResponse user has a list of 27,000 email addresses and delivers a weekly newsletter to his list.

In the old model, the user would pay $17.95 per month for the account, and in addition he would need to buy *three* broadcast extension packages costing $29.95 per month each, to upgrade his daily broadcast allowance to 30,000 email messages. The monthly total would be $107.80 ($17.95 + 3 x $29.95).

In the new model, the user would pay $17.95 a month for the account, plus 4 x $4.50 for additional 20,000 subscribers over the 10,000 "free" subscribers included. The monthly total would therefore be $35.95 ($17.95 + 4 x $4.50).

The user saves $71.85 (or 66%) in the new model!

The new pricing model offers big savings to users with small and large lists alike.

Stay tuned for more, very exciting GetResponse updates coming over the next couple of days!
