'Single opt-in' means that an email address is automatically added to your account as soon as it is submitted, either through e-mail or a website form (default setting). From today you may also choose the 'double opt-in' process. With 'double opt-in', the email address is not immediately added to your account. An email message is first sent to that address, with a request of confirmation that this address should indeed be added to the list.
