GR 6.0 Migration Guide

GetResponse 6.0 gives you a totally new interface and more than 100 exciting new features and enhancements!

The new release is easier than ever to navigate, but to get you up to speed quickly, we recommend a review of the GetResponse Migration Guide. Remember to keep it handy!

In the new GetResponse, you’ll discover an intuitive new dashboard with links to quickly create campaigns and surveys, build mailing lists, or check your stats and reports. For example, below the “What would you like to do” module, you can access the "At a glance" overview of your most recent email results (check open rates or clicks), and your mailing list performance.

The main toolbar tabs now include: Dashboard, Campaigns, Contacts, Messages, Statistics, Surveys, and Multimedia. Other tabs display only when you need them. Your Account Settings are accessible via the "My Account" link at the top of the window. And if you have any problems or questions regarding any GetResponse features, you can easily find the answers using the dedicated "How to" box located in the top right-hand corner.

Several features and settings have changed location, so use this table for quick updates. For example, Predefined Fields is now located under Campaigns instead of Subscribers; Preload is under Messages instead of Campaigns; and there are some changes in the campaign settings as well.

If you want to assign a domain name to your account, go to "Set My From Fields" in My Account and enter a name and an email address to identify yourself as the sender and enforce your brand. Then simply choose the appropriate sender when creating your campaign (Campaigns » Settings » General Settings).

Table 1 shows GetResponse 4.0 and new 6.0 setting locations:

To provide you with more up-to-date terminology, we have replaced some terms used in the previous version of GetResponse.

Please notice that "subscribers" has been replaced by "contacts".

If you want to send a single message to your contact list, please use the newsletter command, which replaces the broadcast command in GetResponse 4.0.

In addition to our new GetResponse service offering, we are updating our Pricing Plan. In GetResponse 6.0., your fee will be based on your email list size. Now you can choose a plan that will be just right for your needs and your wallet!

Of course, if you wish, you can stay with the old pricing plan. However, please note that you will not have access to great new features like Surveys, GetResponse Multimedia Studio, Twitter integration, and Split Testing. Your account will be limited and you will not be able to use the powerful new tools, but your competitors may rush to get the GetResponse Advantage. The choice is up you!

Changes to Your FREE Account

With the new GetResponse, we are introducing some changes to FREE accounts. You will now have unlimited campaigns, and will be able to send unlimited follow-up messages and broadcasts! However, there will be a new maximum of 10 subscribers for all FREE account lists. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to review and reduce your list to a select 10 by July 4th, or it will be automatically reduced during the migration process. After the launch, you will be able to access and export your entire subscriber list if you wish to.
