Open-rate works tracks number of message opens by your recipients. This feature sends a behind-the-curtains "signal" to your GetResponse account that enables the tracking.

Various security risks and viruses spread via email have forced developers to introduce additional layers of protection to email programs. By default, most modern email software programs and web-based email applications today block open-rate tracking.

As such, your open-rate statistics for your mailings will be grossly underestimated (the "real" open-rate will be much higher than your results) and should not be considered an accurate way to determine the percentage of subscribers who open your email message.

Instead, we recommend that it is viewed as indicatory or comparative information -- for example to compare open-rates of two different mailings, or to determine which day of the week is most optimal for your mailouts.
