Is it possible to put my subscriber's first name at the beginning of the email's subject line? For example, Hal, new information just released...
Thanks |

Hello,
Basic merge, such as [[firstname]] will print the
first name of your subscriber. [[name]] will print
the full name.
To set this, please log into your account, and go to
Subscribers>>My Subscribers>>Predefined Fields
and click on the link "Set a new predefined field."
Best Regards,

Hi Admin,
I followed your instructions. However this appears to be for the Greeting in the body of the email.
I'm specifically interested in having the subscriber's name appear as the first word in the "Subject" line. Therefore, when they look in their "In" box they will see their name as part of the email's subject.
Perhaps I'm mis-understanding what the pre-defined fields function is for, but I didn't see where I could specify that the pre-defined filed applies to the email "Subject".
Thank you,
Hal |

Hello Hal,
Write your subject line as you normally would.
Insert your custom fields as appropriate through-
out the text. Please note that the data needs to
be properly formatted, so that GetResponse can
recognize it, and change it to your subscriber's
custom information. Therefore, if you have added
custom field: first name, your merge word will
look like this:
Hello [[firstname]] here is your report.
Best Regards,
