Some statistics features I would like to see ...

Dear fellow marketers

Some minutes ago I submitted three ideas to GR. What do you think about them? Have other GR users around similar needs? Perhaps do you know some good workarounds to achieve the same results ...?

feature 1: statistics / tracking for confirmation mails - so you can see and optimize the ratio between confirmation mails sent and completed confirmed subscriptions (ideally including open tracking for html based confirmation mails)

feature 2: performance statistic showing the number of e-mails sent out. So the numbers of unsubscriptions, openings etc would get more useful

feature 3: built-in split-testing support to test several slightly different messages for
- confirmation mails (requires feature 1)
- follow-up mails
- broadcast mails

I am new to GR, so I hopefully didn't just overlook these features or some obvious fix ...

Hello Ruediger,

In regards to the statistics, we have three different
statistics offered in your account. The available
statistic are :

Performance Stats
Access your open rate stats, find out at which messages
your subscribers are removing themselves, determine
how many of your subscribers click through your links.

Sales Stats
See which products generate your sales and which need
additional promotion.

Subscriptions Stats
Find out how many new subscribers you've gathered in
a particular period of time.

You can view these statistics by logging into your account
and clicking on the "Statistics" link at the top of the control
panel.

Each of the mentioned functions, confirmation mails, follow-
up messages and broadcasts all offer a test feature. For the
follow-up messages and broadcasts, you will see the test
feature at the bottom of the message editor. When you
personalize your confirmation message, you will see the
preview just below your message description.

unfortunately, the statistics you name lack the features I suggested. With split-testing I mean a special technique for testing the responsiveness of slightly different versions of a message (a followup email or any other type of advertising) "in the field". This is not covered by the test-feature you mention. (and one big competitor of GR recently added this feature).

To whom it may be of interest: Fortunately I got a answer from the getresponse team to my feature suggestions and it seems some of the suggested features are planned to be implemented soon.
