I'm trying to set up a duplicate campaign of one I already successfuly did in which download instructions are immediately sent to a person's who's decided to buy one of my e-books, with them getting the download page instead of a "thank you" page for a no-opt-in campaign. However, when I try repeatedly to make a new campaign I find that the 3 opt-in check boxes are already checked instead of being empty---not allow me to de-check them. What gives???? Are there defaults that somehow have been changed? I can't find a place to set or change defaults.
Also, your personally-directed e-mail form crashes my AOL each time I try to use it, so I have to resort to this public web-board.
Also, your telephone contact I'm sure is fine for you-all, 9-5 M-F, but I work on these projects after my regular "day-job" on Weekends and late evenings. Thus not having a direct e-mail to you-all is doubly frustrating.
I appreciate any help you can give me, especially this very irritating opt-in positive default that somehow has materialized, which has stopped me dead in my tracks.
Thanks. |

Hello Dan,
From now on the opt-in settings will be
always set to On when creating new
campaign. This is done set the standard
for responsible marketing. Also, as a PRO
user you are able to disable the option
but only once for the campaign.
I am sorry but at the moment our phone
support works from 9am-5pm.
Best regards,

Hi there,
I'm a new paid user.
I've seen this same answer at least twice.
I have to say that it does NOT explains the way of doing it properly.
A "I'm sorry but that's the way it is" isn't enough as a support. You MUST give an explanation on how to perform the desired query.
As for my experience (which is really short here) I've also notice that the 3 checkboxes come up checkedd.
This is what I did and it seems to work.
As soon as I created the campaign, I went and uncheck the boxes. It wouldn't let me uncheck the "Import" checkbox but it let me uncheck the "email" and "web form".
That's what worked for me, I hope it helped
Manuel

Hello Manuel,
You are able to uncheck the email and web
subscriptionsoptions only. Import always
requires confirmation and this may not be
unchecked.
