pop-ups

Hi
Another newbie here.can you help?
I have built a website and wish to use a pop up to capture subscribers.
Do have to publish my website to install the pop ups or can i publish
after i have placed them on my site.
Any assistance would be gratefully recieved

Hi Dave

Insert your code before you publish otherwise there won't be any code in your site to run.

A tip. This is what I do. Save the page html code, including the pop-up code in it, to your hard disc drive (I usually have a folder where I keep a back-up of all my site's code - name it the same as the site!). Then I use my browser to look at each page to see if the pop-up works - even to the extent of subscribing to my own site to see what happens! I then go and delete myself from my own autoresponder. This way you test the page, pop-up and the first autoresponder message.
