If a subscribed is removed on sale, does the REF stay ?

Let's suppose a subscriber bought a product and got removed from list A where he have a ref number of 02. With an automation rule he will join List B.

My question is : will the ref number stay when I show his information list B or will it be rest to 00 ?

Hello,

When you create a reference number it is specific to the
method of subscription. For example when creating a
webform you can assign the webform a specific reference
number. Reference numbers are not according to the
campaign, therefore it will not change if you set up an
automation rule.

But I checked my customers today and there is only 000 Ref numbers, so the ref number didn't actually get passed with the automation rule to the new mailing list ?

Hello,

Upon further investigation I have discovered that
the REF code will not transfer with the subscriber
information when using the automation rule, as
you have already seen. The reference number
is specific to the method of subscription only.
