How can we make sure our customers receive the confirmation email in the first place!? Your advertising blurb states very clearly that you can ensure our emails will not be blocked by anti-spam filters. But you don't do that. you even state in one of the answers here on the forum that you can't.

I'm having increasing problems with people not receiving their confirmation emails from you. Yet, if I add their email address myself, then they DO receive it. Sometimes you even block major (UK) ISP services so you are blocking the customer's attempt to sign up.

Please make your advertising claims more realistic or offer us the service you claim you can! (Prefereably the latter!) Smile

Hello Ahmed,

You are not able to send another confirmation
message to the subscribers. We recommend that
you customize your confirmation message, so
that your subscribers can easily recognize
that they are subscribing to your list.

The reason why they did not respond could be
because they were not interested in this offer.

Best regards,

Hello Sue,

You advise that when you add the address the do
receive the confirmation message. Both importing
and adding email address manually send the confirmation
request and this cannot be turned off. All confirmation
messages are sent in the same way and when it
arrived to your subscriber's inbox, it means we
are not blocked and subscriber's ISP accepts the
messages.

If you have any doubts if confirmation message
reached certain person, please advise what person
exactly and we will check the delivery logs.

Best regards,
GetResponse Support Team

The reason they receive it is because she isn't receiving a request, she is sending a confirmation.

GetResponse uses SpamAssassion on all incomming email subscription requests and IF an IP is blacklisted, the subscribers email is either bounced back or deleted. This is why some of her clients do not get the confirmation email.

Please do not say that you don't use SpamAssassion for incomming subscription requests via email because you in fact do. Another support person verified this today. A different one said you didn't but later said you do because spam is a security issue. When the fact is that spam is a resource issue not a security one.

Upgrade your systems and turn off SpamAssassion so we, the paying clients, can receive ALL requests for campains. After all, that is part of what we pay for.

Of course, if Susan is not using email request triggers, then it's another issue. However, the above is true. Especially if the requesting email subject and/or body is blank.

The email industry changes and in order to assure the best eliverability GetResponse has to adjust to the rules that are beyond our control. Like many other services GetResponse is being a target of spammers that try to guess valid email addresses @getresponse.com In order to prevent such bogus subscriptions to the campaigns of our customers we needed to implement inbound mail filtering systems.I assure you that our system administrators are working very hard on solving this probiem without compromising the security measures that have been implemented to protect your campaigns. In the meantime please enter content in the email's subject and body.

Regards,
GetResponse Support
