Dear Getresponse technical team,
I tried to customized my confirmation email to subscriber, by adding a short message in my language. I added another "[[confirmation_link]]" command on that customized message.
Therefore, there are 2 "[[confirmation_link]] commands on my confirmation message; one added by me, and the other is default [[confirmation_link]] command from GetResponse.
The problem is, when I tried to click on my customized [[confirmation_link]] it goes to GetResponse's web page saying; "The newsletter that you want to subscribe to is no longer hosted with GetResponse".
And when I click to GetResponse's default confirmation link, it goes well as it supposed to.
I noticed that the links generated by the same "[[confirmation_link]" command are different to each other.
Please advise what to do, as I need to give instruction to my subscribers to confirm their subscription, in my language.
Thank you,
Yoki |

Hello Yoki,
Can you please tell me which campaign
you have created this confirmation page
in, so that I may investigate this further?

Hello Customer Support Team,
I thought Predefined Field is not subscriber-specific and it has the same value for all subscribers.
While in this case, it is a subscriber-specific (to confirm their subscription).
I believe [[confirmation_link]] is a GetResponse-specific command, for subscriber to confirm their subscription.
My intention is to have a short confirmation message in my own language, to minimize the numbers of unconfirmed subscribers (due to the default English-based confirmation language generated by GR).
Here's what my confirmation message look like:
Hello [[firstname]],
We have received your request for a
subscription to a mailing list maintained by
GetResponse email marketing service.
-----My Personalized Message---------
"Silahkan klik (atau copy-paste
pada browser Anda), link berikut:
[[confirmation_link]],
untuk konfirmasi kesediaan Anda
mendapatkan rahasia hidup sukses-
bahagia-kaya raya dari kami"
-------------------------------------------
To confirm your subscription please
click the following link:
EASY 1-CLICK CONFIRMATION:
[[confirmation_link]] <- Default link generated by GR
You will be able to unsubscribe
or change your details at any time.
If you have received this email in
error and do not intend to join our
list, no further action is required
on your part.
You won't be subscribed to any
list and you won't receive further
information until you confirm your
subscription above.
---end---
If there is something that I miss understand, please kindly advise and help.
Thank you,
Yoki |

Hello Yoki,
Thank you for your reply.
You are correct about the predefined fields
and that they are set to every user the same
way.
I have subscribed to your campaign by sending
a blank email and I instantly received your
confirmation message where both your field and
ours was clickable and looked exactly the same.
I chose your link and after clicking on it I have
been redirected to your own Thank you site with
the photo and text:
"Selamat! Anda sudah terdaftar ....".
Once confirmed I received the first message
right away to my Gmail account.
Can you please advise if you still experience such
behaviour? At what domain you have the emails
with which you subscribe?
I am looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
GetResponse Support Team |

Dear Technical Support,
I just have tried several email accounts with different domains.
The one that isn't working so far are as follow;
yahoo.com
mschumacher.com
squirrelmail
The one that is working;
hotmail
gmail (tested by you)
local paid domain (viewed using MS-Outlook)
However, it is look like the problem appears as a 'unique' problem, because I still received subscription confirmation from user with yahoo's account, eventhough I noticed the number of confirmed subscription is going down quite dramatically.
Thank you for your support,
Yoki |

Hello Yoki,
Thank you for your patience in this matter.
I have escalated this to our technical support
department and after extensive testing, they
were unable to replicate the problem you are
experiencing.
These links are a special encoding, but both
direct to the same script for the same user.
Upon testing both appear to be working corr-
ectly. Perhaps this was a temporary error.
If the situation persists, please send us a
screenshot of the confirmation email contain-
ing the "not" working link.
Please forward this to gr-support at cs.implix.
com.

Hello GR Support Team,
I tried again to subscribe to my own list, using one of the email account that previously wasn't working.
It is working fine now.
I guess you're right, maybe that was just a temporary problem.
Thank you very much for your support. I do appreciate that.
