Hi Everyone,
I have several over 8,000 e-mails addresses. I have gotten these e-mails as these people have agreed to linkup with me on LinkedIn.com. This list grows by several hundred a week. The lists are broken up into several subcategories with people in multiple categories.
I want at least a 25% conversion rate from this list into my autoresponder list, which I think is a reasonable goal.
I am just not sure what the best way is.
I have some small lists that I can experiment on.
Background
--------------
I have looked at a number of e-mail systems including aweber, 1shoppingcart, phplist and purchasing software. I like the getresponse software. I have a purchases some software and have used it, which means I can if necessary work around the SPAM rules. I have contacted about 5,000 people or so and only a few hundred opted out of my e-mails.
I do know that many actually followed the links in my e-mail. I have received many thanks for my e-mails. My e-mails are info with the intention of building a relationship, not offers to sell. My revenue come from affiliate programs I recommend and a couple of course I am developing and will sell.
What my problem is I would like to migrate my list to GetResponse.
I want to maximize my conversion rate but am not sure how to go about it.
It seems to me the standard e-mails available by GetResponse have some challenges:
a) I would like a customized Subject line.
b) I would like to send multiple Confirmations to my list over a time period. Some people are just too busy to open them or ignore the confirmations too frequently. This will allow me to use different confirmation messages.
c) I would like to add more useful and relevant information to the confirmation e-mail. The limits on characters stop me from this.
What I am looking for is some feedback on what I am trying to do.
Does it make sense?
Is there a better way?
Am I missing something that will make it simpler for me?
How do people get a high conversation rate?
Does anybody have statistics? What and how can I get that rate?
