What is the difference between a newsletter and a follow-up?

A newsletter (sometimes called a broadcast) is a single message that is created and scheduled to go out at a specific date and time. For example, you may design a newsletter to be sent on Monday, August 30 at 10am Eastern Time. Follow-up messages (aka autoresponders) are a series of messages set to go out on specific day intervals from the time a contact opts into your campaign. For example, you may design three follow up messages set to go out the day after signup (day 1), two days after that (day 3), and a week later (day 7). Please note that only one follow up can be sent per day interval for each campaign.
