What is a custom field?
A custom field can be entered into your message to personalize it for each contact. The contact enters their own custom data upon sign-up via your web forms, or it is added along with the name and email when you import contacts into the account. You can use this customized information in the messages you send out. For example, it may be the name of the city the contact resides in, or even their shoe size. Personalizing your messages by displaying custom information for every contact will help you increase the response rate. To add custom fields into your message simply click the "add personalization" link above the editor.
