Gold Members Update-January 3rd, 2008

Ok, the holidays are over, and it's time to get your players
working toward the level of physical fitness they will play at
next fall.  So, here are three e-books with a slew of great ideas
and techniques to use in your program's conditioning workouts.
I've also included a fourth e-book that is designed to help all
us overworked coaches find a way to improve our own fitness.
They can all be accessed in the "Bonus Downloads" Section of
the Members Area,

Let's get 'em to work now!

Dave

1. "The Big Six" -The Six Best Volleyball Strength Training Exercises
-By Dennis Jackson, CSCS

This 20 Page E-Book details the six top volleyball-specific strength
training exercises.  It includes demonstration pictures and an explanation
of how each excercise is effective in building strength is areas that
volleyball players need it the most.

2. The 15 Minute Training Solution
-By Robert Belley, BS, CPT, TCS

No, this is not for your players! (Unless you are starting from scratch
at a new school where they have never worked out before-then it might
be a good way to break them in.)  Instead, this is a program for the
"very busy" who still want to get into better shape.  Like, say, a volleyball
coach?  :)

3. Training the Female Athlete
-By Steven Bubel, MS, CSCS

An excellent 4 page e-book with great information that all coaches
of girls volleyball players should understand and use to ensure their
players get the maximum benefit from their workouts.

4. Plyometric Progessions
-By Lee Taft

Here we have a great 28 page e-book on plyometric training.  It includes
diagrams, demonstration pictures and sample workouts.

Also, as club season gets rolling, don't forget we always here
to answer your questions through our message board or the
"Ask Dave" feature.

Until next time,
