Just a quick note this week as I am
on a filmmakers course this weekend with
Elliot Grove, the
founder of Raindance, who I'm reliably informed
is one of the best in the business and coached
Guy Ritchie in his
early films.
Social networking continues to
grow with new services being discovered every
day. The latest one I've joined and it would be
nice if you did too, is Ning.com
- it links nicely
with Facebook
and between them they can
really connect you to
people. Some UK Theatre
Networkers have already joined and posted up
their own production news and videos. With the
new Bebo video feature
starting to take off and Myspace,
YouTube continuing
to get thousands of visitors, the online
world is certainly shaking up how we
market and promote not only theatre, but
ourselves as performers, directors, producers
and writers.
Meantime our What's
On section will ensure
you are able to spend time offline. Take
the family to see Scooby
Doo is what new reviewer David
Feeney suggests, "For a fun family night
out, this show is unmissable". If you are
looking to enhance your skills in
Improvisation, then UKTN member Chris Johnston
is the person to contact.
His course leads to a West End
performance !
Don't forget to check out the Indiana Gregg
concerts we've been filming for
UKGigs.TV. She's been making
headlines across the national and regional
press with her "home concerts". If you are
a ballet fan, then you can win one of five
classic Royal
Ballet DVD's featuring Dame Margot
Fonteyn.
Budding photographers and fans of public art
may be interested in the UKPhoto.TV, if
you send an MMS to 07786 200 549 with
.uk. in
the title, it will be featured on BigArtMob and
UKPhoto.TV
It's all happening ! I hope you continue
to enjoy and support the work we're doing here
in the network. Collectively we can make a
BIG difference and ensure that
UK Theatre continues to be recognised as
dynamic, exciting, compelling and most of all
FUN.
Have a fantastic weekend.
