UK Theatre Network - News on BBC/Film London
August 17th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
Hi there Friend
That was, yet another, week that was.
I was honoured and delighted that Little
India was accepted into the final ten of the
BBC/Film London Microwave scheme this week. Both Dishad Husain,
the writer/director, and myself as Producer, will be attending
the Microschool at the end of September to be coached and
supported by top producers and directors. Three films get
funding of up to £75,000.
I also got news that some of the projects I've been working on,
including Making It In Hollywood, are
featured in this weeks edition of Screen International. It hadn't
arrived in my local WH Smith this morning so I have no idea what
it says yet.
On the Facebook front, there's a new
UKFILM.TV video application which will allow
short films from the network to be submitted for screening
on every facebook member who adds the application. This
compliments the UKTheatre.TV one launched last
month which has been showing WICKED on over 80 Facebook
profiles. If you'd like to know more about how your theatre or
film project could be featured, simply drop me an
email.
Have a great weekend, I'm off to Edinburgh and hence the early
email. Enjoy !
