UK Theatre Network - Entertainment at a click of a mouseHi again As usual, there's lots going on the world of UKTheatre. Claire Sweeney is back in town, this time teaming up with Su Pollard in SHOUT ! These two performers must be worth seeing on a stage near you ? I've included a biography of Claire for those reading in the U.S. who may not know her. Also, the National Theatre of Scotland are getting ready to surprise and delight audiences around the UK with Black Watch and the nicely titled The Emperor's New Kilt. A favourite with teenagers everywhere, High School Musical is being staged at The Richmond Theatre by Songtime Theatre Arts. There's lots of sea references this week. "The Sea" is a comedy by Edward Bond and over the sea in Ireland is "The Deep Blue Sea" at the Gate Theatre. One I'd recommend is Absurd Person Singular. It features John Gordon-Sinclair in the warm and funny Alan Ayckbourn play. I clicked on my own ticket offer and got some tickets on Monday for only £10 ! Great. They wouldn't need to think about all those big numbers, just one of those few hundred millions they invested in Bebo would be fine. SportRelief was great last night. Did you see the Ben Shephard and Lemar fight ? I'm not a big fan of boxing but to watch those two fight was both scary and exciting at the same time. It worked so well as we knew each of their personalities and couldn't imagine them in a major fight. The energy they put into it was significant, and even though Ben Shephard won, it was a very even and tough fight for them both. Oh, and FANTASTIC news in the world at large was the return of little Shannon. Result !
