UK Theatre Network - A Visit from The Queen

November 10th, 2007 at 7:05 am

Hello Friend

How's your week been ?  Did you catch some theatre, film or music ?  Or have you been spending your money on the new Apple Iphone ?  My phone was up for renewal and after detailed investigation, I found the Nokia N95 8GB suited my needs better. It was quite simple, a 5 megapixels camera and video compared to paltry 2 on the Iphone and no video. You can keep your fancy expensive toy Mr Jobs, the new media world doesn't need it !

Did you catch the video of The Queen visiting Paramount ? It's showing on my Bebo page. It was a great day and I enjoyed filming and editing the mini-feature.  That was followed up with an interview with Gary Wilmot. My first performance on stage was in Half-A-Sixpence, so I was delighted to be asked if I wanted to interview Gary who was playing the lead role of Arthur Kipps. Here's the interview on my blogspot.  I was introduced this week to the music of Canadian singer Feist, it's now constantly on my IPOD. The videos are well done, check them out at UKGigs.TV. My Moon My Man is my favourite.

Some interesting developments this week on other fronts. On Monday I've been asked in to Sky News studios to discuss some of the security issues around social media, specifically Facebook. Later in the week, I'm going along to advise the team at BAFTA as they start to consider reaching a wider audience online. I'm also delighted to say that Sally Gray MBE and Jonas Hurst will be working with me on some filming on Making It In Hollywood. Their experience in TV presenting is extensive and I'm looking forward to that next month.

Hope your week is equally exciting. If not, check out some of the links below.
