FITNESS ACES

The Mental Edge of Fitness

Clinton Boucheix

 Hi Friend,

I’m a big believer in having a sense of fun and inspiration when it comes to exercise. That’s why I practice 6 styles of martial arts. Each one brings me a unique form of enjoyment that’s not like the other.

But the one that I get the most joy and inspiration from is capoeira. All the unique moves, positions, weight distribution and tricks that I perform are all elements that makes me feel alive when I practice it.

I came across a unique workout that reminded of my experience practicing capoeira because of some of the dynamic movements in the exercises. I had to share it with you.

Its called, Animal Flow and its a great way to get in shape that’s both fun and inspiring.

Check it out Here!

You see, what’s unique about the Animal Flow Workout is how its inspired by movements and dynamics you might find embodied by certain animals found in nature. By adopting various movements and positions that are similar to these creatures, you challenge your body in ways that will not only burn fat and build muscle but also enhance athletic performance.

Animal Flow Workouts is a video created by Mike Fitch. Aside from the fat burn and strength gains you can expect to learn and develop from the workout, you’ll also develop cardiovascular stamina, flexibility, mobility and stability.

Fitness Reflection: Healthy Relationship with Pain

20130621-160301.jpg
Allow pain to be your navigator, not your limiter. Cultivating a healthy relationship with pain is to have a cooperative partnership with your body and its best interests.

Appreciate pain, for its signals are there to show you the way through to your ideal fitness and optimal health. It’s there to say,
“you could that move better”,
“this move is harmful”,
“you’ve done too much of that”.
Always bringing feedback and awareness. Rather than flinch and wish it away, accept and appreciate its presence. It will bring you answers and awareness.
