------------------------------------------------------------ Hey
Friend, How are things going? The weather here is getting cooler
and the girls are loving the extra time outside. Not to mention me
and my girlfriend Allissa's excitement as well. Okay, today I have
an update and a tip for you. First the update. Three new articles
have been added to the training section. Tracking training parts 3
and 4 are up and Pit Bull Puppy training is also up. To read them
visit:

They are the last three articles in the list. Update #2: Many
people have emailed asking about Leo the Lion. Well I'm super happy
to report that not only is Leo acting like a gentleman (his dog
aggression is almost non-exsistent now) he is now in his temporary,
possibly forever, home! Leo is such a great dog too and I hope the
home works out. Allissa and I dropped him off at his new home last
night and while he played with the two small kids there (he was
AWESOME with them) his new owner got her first look at him in
person. Follow ups and continued APBT education are the order of
the day for Leo and his new owner, but I'm happy with her and the
situation. God shined his blessing down on this little rascal and
hopefully he has found his home and will not be shuffled around any
longer. Thanks to well wishes and good thoughts from literally
hundreds of people I have no doubt Leo will enjoy a happy new life
with his new home. TIP: Are you rewarding calm behavior or not? As
I talk about in the Puppy training article at the site rewarding
your dog when they are calm and quiet even if they haven't done
anything is a sure way to reinforce this behavior. For example, if
your pup is in their kennel quiet and relaxing why not stop by and
praise and treat them? Every so often toss a "that's good" and a
treat to your dog(s) for being calm. Eventually your pup will
associate calm behavior with attention. This is not to say you
can't rough house or play tug with your dog, the difference is...
...it's on your terms and not theirs. Why not start today? Next
time you see your pup being calm and quiet, calmly walk over and
give them a pet, treat, or praise for their behavior. Enjoy the
updates. Best Regards, Jason, Angel and Honey
