1. OUTLOOK: The market shrugged off weak jobs reports and advanced in a thinly traded session. Apple shares rose ahead of its media event next week where it is expected to introduce iPod Nano and Touch models that include digital cameras. Other big tech gainers included Microsoft, IBM, Cisco Systems. QQQQ's implied volatility inched lower as large traders dumped protective put options.
