Here's How to Really Practice and Not "spin your wheels!"
Dear Friend,
I'm sending this email "broadcast" to ALL subscribers of any one of my Newsletters as well as owners and non-owners of my products!
Those that currently own any of one my products will be far "ahead of the game!" Those who are not, will undoubtedly "catch up!"
Let me tell you a story...
You might not know this, but I recently returned to school to satisfy new Federal Regulations as it relates to being "highly qualified" as mandated by No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation.
Because, my instrumental discipline is piano, I am required to "master" four works from different periods (16th to Modern Century) of Western Music.
You know... Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc.
Now remember, I haven't seriously studied this music since I was a child and in College years ago.
As you know, I've been playing Jazz and popular styles of music. That's easy... compared to classical literature!
Believe me this music is far more technical than what I'm attempting to teach YOU!
These are some quotes from my Professor of Piano at lessons...
"Mr. Worthy... slow it down!
Mr. Worthy you're reading the notes but you are making the composition SING!
Mr. Worthy you're a great sight reader, but you're not spending enough time playing the composition with each hand separately!
Stop re-writing Beethoven's piece!
Practice each hand separately Mr. Worthy"... and so on and so on.
Does this sound familiar? Yeah I know... you hear it from me constantly.
But guess what? IT WORKS!
It's not fun... but this is how it's done. Some people call it "paying your dues in the practice room!"
So if you really want to see some progress with your playing, start practicing each hand separately. Now I'm not talking about "one time" through the piece.
Practice your right hand at least 2 times through the piece. And then practice your left hand at least 2 times through the piece. Once you've done that, rest for a couple of minutes, and try playing it with both hands.
You'll be surprised at how much control you will have, whether it's a song or an exercise.
So Friend, if you own any of my products, practice whatever you're working on as characterized above.

P.S. Oh by the way... YOU Must Practice EACH Hand Separately... Rule No. 1
P.P.S. If you don't, you'll just be "spinning your wheels!"
