Candidate Fair and Straw Poll

The Tarrant County Republican Party will be hosting a
Candidate Fair and Straw Poll on Saturday February 4th,
2012 from 1pm - 6pm at the Hurst Conference Center,
1601 Campus Drive Hurst TX 76054. The straw poll
winners ceremony will be from 6:00 - 6:30 pm. This is a
free event for Tarrant County Voters to come and meet
local, state, and federal candidates in the Republican
Primary.
This event is a rare opportunity for voters to meet all
candidates on the ballot in person. It is a chance to
ask them tough questions, and then vote for the most
impressive candidates in the Straw Poll.
To vote in the straw poll a person must be a registered
Tarrant County voter and show photo ID. If someone is
not a registered voter, they can register at the event
and still vote in the straw poll.
Two years ago this event drew more than 3,000 people
and it is expected to draw even more this year due to
increased voter interest with the presidential primary.
In addition, voters throughout the nation are becoming
more interested in the political process and wanting to
better educate themselves. This event is the perfect
place accomplish this.
