It's time to talk about using newsletters again! I know
we've gone over this before, but it still amazes me when I
get an email with a question like " how do I sell more
products?" Or this one "how do I market affiliate programs?"

My answer is always the same!
Publish a newsletter and start building a list!

    Here's why!!!!

If you aren't yet using a newsletter as a part of your
marketing efforts then you are really missing out!

    WHY.....

Because newsletters keep people coming back!

OK, let's say you have a visitor to your website or even
better you have a customer buy from you. Now what? If you
don't have some type of follow up system in place then you
are virtually tossing your new prospect back in to the big
pond and giving your competitors a chance to reel them in.

Of course, if you website is nice, the service was good and
the product memorable they may come back if you're lucky!

    BUT....
    How will they find you?
What if they lose your website address?
What if they just forget about you?

A newsletter prevents these things from happening. ;)

    I know what you're thinking....
    What do I write about?

The first thing to keep in mind is, you do not need a long
newsletter. You can just as easily send out a quick tip, an
announcement of a new product or an article related to your
website. If you really can't decide what to put in your
newsletter subscribe to a few of your competitors newsletters
and see what they are up to! Don't copy them word for word.
That's plagiarism! Just check out their content, look over
the way they format their issues and you will get some great
    ideas for your's

OK, Lisa I have my newsletter, but how often do I send it out?

    Good question......

There have been many debates over this question. Some
publishers contact their subscribers as often as every day,
others only a few times a year. What will work best for you
depends a lot on what you are trying to achieve and what
type of information you can provide your readers with.

For instance, I like to publish a longer issue (like this one)
once a month and then send out little tips and product
recommendations about once a week. My publishing style depends
on weather or not I have anything that I feel my readers
you) will value. I don't send out every promotion that
crosses my desk just because it may make me some cash. I value
your time and I do my best to only send out relevant
    information that you
    can use.

The most important thing is you can do is keep it consistent.
If you keep your schedule and format consistent your
newsletter will become recognizable and familiar to your
readers and it won't end up being deleted before it
    gets opened.

Make sure get a reliable delivery system (auto responder)
that will include a permission reminder and an unsubscribe
link with every issue. I personally use Getresponse. http://tinyurl.com/ys8cx5

And remember that your newsletter deserves time and attention.
After all it is will help you to build relationships with
your readers in a way that no other tool can. Weather it is
published once a week or once a month.

    That's it for today Friend!

Have a great week and please let me know
    if you have any questions,
    Lisa
