Cannot figure it out?

Here's the latest on what Social Networking has done for me:

1. Have grown my network on LinkedIn and other sites to huge
numbers with online and offline techniques.
2. I have had thousands of people who saw my profile and wanted
to get to know me.
3. I have offered all of them to meet me offline for coffee if
they were in Houston or wherever I was if I was going somewhere
for a business trip or conference.
4. I met a Guy named Jason Emanis of Bible in the Boardroom
amongst a huge number of other notables.
5. Through Jason, I was introduced to the Center for New
Ventures and Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M which is a board of
volunteers helping two staff at the Center advance the
entrepreneurial vision through A&M.
6. I have committed to applying the principle that I learned in
Never Eat Alone by Ferrazzi that is to get in with influentials
you want to help them with their charities and non-profits and I
jumped onboard full force to help them.
7. Through this, I have met tons of very successful Aggies
including some of the Aggie 100 (the leaders of the top 100
Aggie owned or Aggie led companies world-wide).
8. I have also gotten to spend much time with the head of the
Center who is a very successful Christian millionaire in his own
right.
9. Through my obvious dedication and passion to help them, and
because of the good things that have come of my application of
LinkedIn to their goals, I have been asked to speak at their
conference in April which will have speakers like Guy Kawasaki,
Marcus Buckingham, and Steven Covey speaking to name only a few.
What a great honor! I will be doing a workshop on the power of
Social Networking. This a fulfillment of another goal I got
reading Ferrazzi's book Never Eat Alone which is that the best
way to benefit from a conference is to get to speak at it.

So, needless to say, I see the value of Social Networking. And,
what I have seen is showing others how to approach the same
success, and/or doing some of the menial parts of the work to
gain the same network size has been very powerful and impressive
for those I have helped. It is very much perceived as a wondrous
gift from me to them.

So, I am offering this one time to this list. If you get me
your login information to LinkedIn, I will help you build a
network of 1500 within a couple of hours. So, if you want me
to give you this great gift to help you prepare for 2008, here
is what I need:
1. your login for linkedin.com
2. the email address you want added to your profile on
linkedin.com to which all of the "accepted your invitation"
emails from linkedin will go to.
3. your permission to apply my techniques to your profile there
on your behalf.

If you do that, I will help you.

If you take this gift and use it, you can build your own
"Chamber of Commerce" from the connections you will then have in
your local area if it doesn't already exist and you will be able
to fill your appointment book and hit the ground running in
2008.

So, to recap, here are the lessons learned:
1. network with 1000x the number of people you think it will
take to get what you want to do done.
2. find the charities and/or non-profits of the influencer(s)
you want to get to know better and volunteer to help them with
energy and passion.
3. help others grow their networks too.
4. find ways to become the speaker.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a blessed
New Years,

Eric Standlee

PS. This offer to do it for you wont last long, so take me up
on it before I start charging for it.

PPS. Connect with me on linkedin.com if you haven't already
before you ask me to help you.

PPPS. Make a decision now to grow the list of people you know
because as we all know:

  It isn't what you know
It isn't even so much who you know
But, it is definitely who THEY know.

that quits his desires."
