Growing your business on Facebook from outside of Facebook

Many people think of marketing on Facebook only by connecting
with people on facebook. However, you can also grow your online
business on facebook by driving traffic from outside of facebook
to your presence on facebook. In fact, this can be even more
powerful for you than marketing from inside of facebook. Here are
several ways to make this happen:

1. Send requests to all of your contacts from inside your email
account. Facebook lets you do this automatically and this can be
a great way to connect with those you have known or communicated
with in the past and to see where the conversation and
relationship heads.

2. Put your facebook url in your signature file with your email.

3. Put a facebook badge on your blog or website.

4. Put it on your business cards.

5. Put it with your signature box when you write articles
online.

6. Link to it from your blog or website.

7. Link to it from twitter, squidoo or other social networking
sites.

8. Make online videos and include your facebook url.

9. Put it on labels for products or catalogs that you pass out.

10. Put it on a sign that you attach to the inside or outside of
your car.

11. Use it in advertisements.

12. Promote it to your email list.

I’m sure there are other ways, but the point is that you want
to connect with people on facebook in as many ways as possible.
Often potential clients or customers will just need to see your
personality and to get that you are a real person before they buy
from you or join you in your business and connecting with them on
facebook is a great way to do this.
