*Interested People* Update: AAN Affordable Affiliate Network
April 1st, 2009 at 3:50 am
Hello Interested People,
We joined AAN a few weeks ago and since then, it looks like
nothing is happening, but that is far from the case! In fact, our
funds are working for us, the site is just not reflecting that
yet. They are working on a software update that will automate the
entire administration and until it is done, it may look like
nothing is happening. Just know that it is.
In the forum (http://forums.affordableaffiliates.com
)
they announced that they had closed all tickets dealing with
"deposit not showing up" issues because they are automating that
as well and it should be correct now in your back office. If it
still is not correct, please resubmit your support ticket. Expect
a response time of 48-72 hours until they have the full site
ready, at which time they will expand support again for faster
support responses.
I have listened to the two conference calls/webinars, but I am
going to give MANY THANKS to fellow member Faith Sloan for
providing the following synopsis from the last one on 3/30 which
is not on line yet (THANK YOU Faith!):

Faith Sloan's Take on the Webinar
Tue Mar 31, 2009 1:49 am
AAN Webinar #3 - 30March2009 Notes: Faith Renee Sloan
The meeting began at 9:00pm EST and lasted a full 2 hours until
11:00pm EST.
Jen welcomed us and introduced the President/CEO of AAN, Mr.
Chris Bell.
Chris introduced himself again and stated that his company has
been live for 20+ years and that he has been in the "...buy/sell
industry..." for 25 years.
Other AAN principals on the call were as follow:
1. Cody whom you all know as the head Tech Guy who was charged
with presenting the questions from the membership to
Chris
2. Jen of course who is at the top of the leader chain and
have brought in many of our top 10 leaders
3. David Cheyne who is no longer the Director of Marketing
but is now the new VP of AAN
4. James River who is the 10th most influential on one of my
favorite social communities -- Twitter. He is charged with
assisting the tech folks and using his passion for content and
user-interface design in order to get the layout of the site
looking sharper. He will also be responsible for ensuring that
all of the inventory items which will be displayed on the site to
potential buyers look their best using multiple views. He will be
working on the inventory acquisition detail pages. He will also
lead the effort to post content on the site for all of our
charities. So not only will the charities receive cash from this
opportunity but they will also have their own corner in the AAN
portal, if you will.
You know that I will be following all of the above folks via
Twitter after I complete my research on their online presence.
:D
Chris stated that tomorrow or before end of week, he will have an
update on the blog and will ensure that the updates are
continuous from here on out since they have ramped up their
staff.
The next step in terms of priority is to get those darn deposits
straightend out with Cody's technical assistance; get those
support tickets resolved and closed and finally to get the
inventory assignment automation up and going so that we can truly
see what the heck they are doing for us -- their valued
members.
Cody was the 2nd speaker.
Mr. Tech Guy stated that there was some good news and some bad
news.
1. Good: 99% of deposits are fixed. (i'm not sure about this as
my downline deposits just decreased 50%) ;) But I'll be
patient.
Ellen of STP is helping to ensure that all of the data they need
in terms of member info and accounting to integrate with their
inhouse systems will be done correctly. Their main programmer is
very sick. Wishing him/her well of course.
2. BAD: 303 deposits were made manually and not from the
website. This proved to be problematic in that they still have to
manually perform the matching and contact members to figure out
what stp usernames match with which aan account numbers. They
have written a tool for customer support to address these
individually. Supposedly everyone is fine. If not, then submit a
support ticket. Well, guys you gave folks the go-ahead to do
these manual deposits but yes let us move forward. So ANYONE with
incorrect deposit amounts or NO deposits recorded in your
backoffice, submit a support ticket. Yes, I know you have
already. But do it again. They made a boo-boo and are trying to
make it right.
3. BAD 2: A lot of folks cannot log in. The 'Forgot Password'
tool is using an offsite mail server which hiccups and
sporadically refuses to send mail with the new passwords.
Personally, i have not experienced this. I request a new password
almost every 3 days and no problem with the email to my hotmail
account. Nonetheless, they ae consolidating their servers
in order to fix this. PLEASE DO NOT CONSOLIDATE THE WEB SERVERS
with the DATABASE SERVERS with the MAIL SERVERS. :D It will be
fixed early this week or en of week. Total migration of
everything will occur within the next week. Expect a smooth
transition but downtime may occur due to the need for DNS
propagation. So downtime may be experience while the propagation
happen throughout the world. They say within the next week. I say
within 2 weeks at least. ;)
4. GOOD: Support Response is now 24-48 hours now. If you have
an open ticket before 16March2009 or have submitted a ticket that
has anything to do with PayPal, STP, deposits, alertpay, etc,
those tickets have been deleted. See #2 above.
Finally in terms of deposits. NEVER NEVER NEVER send a Manual
payment through AlertPay, SolidTrustPay or any future payment
processor. USE THE AAN BACKOFFICE after you log in. ALWAYS!
Mr. David Cheyne (yes, I researched you David. not finished
though) the new VP of AAN spoke next. Chris basically introduced
him and he had a small bit to say. He is a Professional Buyer,
Managed Chris' facilities, warehouses, etc. He created approx 30
successful websites relate to e-commerce and affiliate marketing.
He has vast knowledge of online marketing. Chris says that David
expertise goes hand-in-hand with AAN being able to move into
multiple markets from China, Europe, etc.
David said that his primary focus initally will be to address
members issues. He will be training us particularly in the areas
of affiliate marketing and how to boost our affiliate income
across the site. Now that is something I find of tremendous
value. If my downline who have not been successful in their past
at getting others on board or are not familiar with the whole
concept of marketing online, David can bring some much needed
education to the masses.
The charity approach.
With the addition of Rob Lind as Director of Aboriginal
Affiliates and Laura Corby (was either on Oprah Winfrey's show or
in her Magazine) as Director of Autism Affiliates, they can start
making it happen. This will enable charities serving the
Aboriginals and those with Autism to participate as members of
AAN. AAN will provide 10 packages each for both groups. The goal
is to have them become members. There will be 10 Aboriginal
elders and 10 families from Autism-related charities invited in
to the AAN mix as members. This would be an awesome opportunity
for them to create sustainable and long-term revenues for
themselves, their families, and their communities.
I will digress and jump ahead here. Since we are on the topic of
charity, a few folks including myself wrote that those free folks
should not be able to participate as members and make money when
they themselves have not put a dime into the pot. What I really
said was that I was unsure whether bringing in free members and
paying them to recruit would make AAN non-compliant with our
government entities. Because they COULD be looked upon as a
company not providing a product or service and are paying folks
to recruit. I still need more clarification on that just to make
sure that AAN doesn't get dinged on that technicality.
But the charitable act behind the same is well-taken. There are
many that you and I know who are financially in dire straits.
They are either poor, or have been laid off, or just are simply
the working poor who pays all of the taxes. Why not give them the
opportunity for future wealth? Why not give them the opportunity
to earn commission which will allow them to invest and share in
the wealth? Sounds rather noble to me. But I say let us work on
ensuring the legality of the same. If it can't be done in the way
proposed by AAN, then let us brainstorm to find another way. I'm
all for local and global collaboration for the success of
all.
I like what Chris said... "They deserve privileges too. Don't
lock out the financially strapped. Everyone should have potential
for life time profitability". He also said "We are not a greedy
company". AAN wants everyone to contribute to this to being the
largest entrepreneurial endeavor to help others".
James River spoke (I think. Chris could've been simply talking
about him) He is the guy I mentioned above who is the 10th most
influential person on Twitter with a huge reach in terms of his
network. I have to check out that claim. LOL! I know those darn
Twitter movers and shakers!
Mr. Chris Bell spoke again. Chris mentioned that we have over
7000 members in over 130 countries! He also mentioned that it is
imperative that folks not keep their profits in but draw out your
cash rather than let it become a 'greedy rollover'. I say use it
to do something OFFLINE like a trip with the family or paying off
some debt. But if you choose to take your capital profits and put
it back in, that is okay too as many of us have different needs
and different strategies to meet those needs. Just be prudent, I
say. Chris says that he really wants the members to have a
sustainable future income. So my friends mix it up. Put some
pennies in your pocket and put some back in for compounded
growth. Make it your win-win. If not, contact me so I can give
you my address, so you can send your cash to me so I can indulge
in Sushi and Plum Wine.
In the end, I actually came to the conclusion that this is bigger
than I thought or even fathomed from the first leadership meeting
I attended.
I feel more comfortable that the AAN principals do understand the
critical success factors and are willing to do what is necessary
to execute.
With that said, I will remain an outspoken advocate for the
membership but I now have an appreciation for the huge task they
have ahead of them in terms of Operations, Technology,
Infrastructure, Corporate Structuring, Customer Support etc. They
have a lot of work to do and given the challenges ahead, I will
be a bit more patient and lenient. ;) But I still will spank them
when their communication fall down. You should ALWAYS have time
to communication. ALWAYS. Because you can have the best laid
plans, the best product, the best marketing, the best technology,
the best staff and support mechanisms, but without 'constannt'
communication to those who are willing to build this company in
partnership with the principals, you have absolutely nothing and
failure is a high liklihood.
But folks as Chris said, "...where else can you buy into a strong
business model where you have no overhead, no bills, no
management issues, etc for years to come"" Believe me I know. It
took a lot of door knocking for me to find $3 million for my
first startup with 2 other women. We laughed, cried, ate crappy
food, got rejected over and over again until someone gave us the
cash. And then we had the headaches involved with growing the
company. But in the end, it was good and still is
profitable.
I see the true future value of the business and the efforts they
are putting forth behind the scenes. It is wayyy bigger than I
imagined and being a serial entrepreneur I see an feel their
startup pains. Only a masochist would be willing to go through
this.
Their progress is indeed impressive. But it shouldn't take a
webinar to communicate this. We are all in this together. Faith
will always have something to say but feed her so she can feed
her team. Help us to help AAN.
The point Chris continued to make is that we should bear with
them. This is not a get rich scheme. He is still asking for our
patience to let them mature... to get the right people, right
framework, right technology infrastructure, etc.
And I say yes to that.
I'm tired, so listen to the webinar which should be up in 1-2
days. There is much more which was discussed and my handwriting
is becoming a blur.
==========================
What is AAN? A real GEM of a perfect passive
program:
Affordable Affiliates Network (AAN)
Seems like the big recruiters got hold of our gem and membership
is skyrocketing. Admin posted on the blog that they have added
staff to take care of the additional workload... they have been
approving the spends manually, so that has taken time and because
of the delay of doing it manually, support emails skyrocketed and
so on. But it seems that all is under control now.
You can use alertpay or SolidTrust Pay to fund this one and it
will soon be automated so no more delay. Min is $100, maximum is
$500. You can't invest more than $500, even though you will want
to! But your account balance can grow beyond that, as part of
your monthly earnings are added back in and part are paid to you
and part are paid to charity.
This is a really cool program and you can see from looking at
their ebay store that they are doing exactly what they say they
are doing.
This is a MUST program for all passive investors, affordable,
legit and it is open internationally too. Don't miss out, this is
a real gem.
But just please go here now and create an account for f r e e and
have a look around, I know you will be impressed:
http://www.affordableaffiliates.com/v2/opportunity.php?ref=665
The program only allows a maximum of $500.00 and a minimum of
$100.00 investment in TOTAL (You will see how this works when you
check out the site). A portion of your profits are given to the
charity of your choice, which is VERY cool.
This is a really unusual program. Totally different
from
anything I have ever seen on the internet.
The program only allows a maximum $500 investment
and part of the profits are given to the charity of your
choice.
What they do is buy low and sell high and only $10 of
any
one investors funds are involved in any purchase. The
range
of investment is from $100 to $500, which means that the
funds would be used as part of 10 to 50 purchases. When
the
item is sold then the profits are shared out.
Profits are shared out: 10% is paid to the investor at the
end
of the month, 10% plus the seed money are placed back into
the account, 5% is paid to the sponsor and 5% to the
charity
of the investor's choice.
In effect this provides both automatic payment and
automatic
compounding monthly.
There is an added measure of safety provided by
guaranteeing
against loss. If an item does not sell or sells at a loss
the original
investment in the item is returned to the investor's account
so
there is no possibility of loss.
What are the potential profits? on any item the profits can
be
anything from very small to huge. The largest profit was on
a
set of books purchased for $3000 and which were sold for
$494,000. The profits were split between the participants.
Cha-Ching!
The program is run by a very experienced ebay
seller, Chris Bell, who has a great deal of experience at
identifying items which can be sold for significantly more
than they can be purchased for.
This is totally passive since there in no need to do
anything
at all once the account is funded. You earn whether you
refer
or not, although you do earn more if you refer.
This is the perfect investment for those who want a totally
hands
off program but at the same time with the potential for large
profits
which increase monthly. It also does not require a large
investment.

You can join for f re e and look around the site before you do
your
investment.
Have a great week and THANK YOU!
