Bryce
Menzies drives the Team Associated/RC10.COM truck
under the lights in Lake Elsinore for rounds 7
& 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing
Series!
Rounds 7
& 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series
(LOORRS) took place again at the Lake Elsinore
Motorsports Complex in Southern California.
Rounds 5 & 6 saw Lake Elsinore transformed
into a world class short course racing venue, and
for rounds 7 & 8 it got even better as they
ran the races at night under the lights. So not
only did you get the added benefit of cooler
temperatures under the stars, you also got to see
all the action at night which always looks
awesome.
This was a particularly exciting weekend for the
AE crew, as Bryce Menzies debuted Team
Associated/RC10.COM Unlimited-4 truck. Pitting in
the Coyne Motor Sports camp, Travis brought Bryce
into drive the truck that was modeled after the
Team Associated/RC10.COM SC8 truck. Bryce has
been charging very hard in his Super Clean
Unlimited-2 and is already showing a lot of
strong promise in the U-4 after taking 4th place
the first time out in the truck.
Team Associated was there with their trailer and
big booth area filled with a wide array of
products and demo track. We had a few new faces
this time around in the celebrity races. Mike
Johnson who drives the KMC Wheels #31 U-2 filled
in for Alan Pflueger, driving his K&N Filters
U-4 and his SC10. We also had Robbie Woods driver
of the Lucas Oil #99 U-2 truck, showing us the
fast way around the track with his SC10. These
guys were mixing it up with the AE celebrity race
regulars Travis Coyne, Rob 'Fig' Naughton and now
Bryce Menzies. The dicing got pretty heavy all
these guys on the track. You can really see these
guys improving their R/C racing skills now that
they have been getting some wheel time in. Proof
positive that practice works!
