Hi Friend
Hope you are having a brilliant week. I had a very early start today with the youngest daughter's band broadcast live on radio. We had to be at school at 6.30am for the recording - very uncivilised! But ... they did well. The joys of musical kids.
This week we are continuing our May theme of the Art, Energy and Science of Writing for the Web. Today we are looking at the science behind web writing.
Writing for the web has a lot of science behind it - the science of human persuasion and the science of search engine persuasion. Today we dip our toes into that world.
We then look at one of the ways you can use science to improve your team performance.
Our book of the week is one I love - every manager needs this one!
THIS WEEK
The Science of Web WritingIn years past you used to be able to put some words together on your web site and all would be great. This has changed and now you need to add in a large dash of science to your web writing. In this article I look at the science of persuading both people and search engines to read your website copy (and where to put those pesky keywords on your web page).

Book of the Week - Management Training by the Book
If you are like most managers you don't have time to get out to courses. That's why I love this brilliant book by my colleagues at the Training Bank - it brings all their best courses to you. This is one of my favourite management books. If you have a team you need this book!
Blog Post of the Week Teen Jobseekers: A Message from your Interviewer
After sitting in on some particularly dreadful interview processes for teen casual jobs, I wrote this post to share what the other side of the table is looking for. If you have teens or are looking for a job, you may want to read this post.
Next week ...
Writing for Blogs
