Hi
Friend
Hope you are having a brilliant
week. We have finally finished our
Christmas lights (for the second time
this year - thanks storm!) ready for
judging this weekend and they look
pretty spectacular. The house is back
to relative normality after the
storms, with all damage repaired -
only the mud in the carpet remains as
a memory of the storm.
So, onto this week's newsletter.
Finding great employees can be a
challenge for many businesses. On the
lead into Christmas (and the need for
Christmas casuals in many businesses)
we look at how to advertise to get
great applicants. We also look at the
importance of headlines in
recruitment ads.
Our business of the week is the
PCYC - one of my favourite community
not for profit organisations. If you
live in Brisbane put the 6th December
in your diaries as the Arana Hills
PCYC is holding their annual
community carols - and I will be MC
again for the event.
Finally, I need your help this
week with Xmas jokes.

Applicants
If you have a vacancy you need to
let people know - so you can attract
the right candidates. You are
creating a marketing campaign and
just like any marketing you need to
pick the right medium for your
message.
In this article I look at some of
the main ways you can advertise your
vacancy to attract the best
candidates.

Recruitment
ads need a great headline to grab
attention. But what works in print
media doesn't work online - we look
at the differences in the tip of the
week.
