Link Correction: Integrating your small business branding (and Uniform Disasters)

  • www.heartharmony.com.au          email

    Hi Friend

Looks like gremlins got into our first mail out, with one of the links not quite giving the correct result. Ok ... I incorrectly coded the HTML and  the error page was redirected to a raunchy webcam site rather that my blog  post about Japanese senior citizens dating - not quite what we had in mind! My apologies for those that had an interesting surprise when they clicked on the link. Here is the corrected G rated email - don't you love HTML coding.

Welcome back to work if you have taken a break over the holiday season! I hope you had an enjoyable and restful time and are itching to get back into work.

This week we look at the issue of integrating your branding. Most people think of a business brand as just a logo ... but it is way more that that. And if you get it wrong it will cost you business. In this sort of market, the smart businesses look to improve their image on the market.

We then take a look at one of the thorniest issues of branding - employee uniforms. It sounds easy but in my experience it is the hardest part of any branding campaign.

I also share a great US business from a Sufi teacher and business coach  - Mark Silver.

After many years in HR I can tell you uniforms caused more disputes and problems than pretty much any other area of marketing and branding. Strikes have been called over the wrong design - and the bad news is you will never get 100% happy employees over the uniform. If you get 40% you are doing well. Here are my list of things to watch for when selecting a uniform.

Business of the Week - Mark Silver (Heart of Business)

Last year a number of my clients mentioned a guy by the name of Mark Silver from the USA to me. Over the holidays I decided to see what all the fuss was about.
