FormerFatGuy - New Year New Results

January 7th, 2009 at 5:45 pm

Happy New year Friend
I wanted to start out the new year with a great success story I just received.  It’s short, to the point and quite dramatic.  Shows you what can happen when you put your mind to something and follow through.

Your tips have been a great help.  I followed them about 80% with one cheat day, and I’ve lost 10 pounds this week.  I sent my buddy to your site and he is joining me on this journey starting 1-5-09

Thanks Rob
Stephen C

Stephen subscribed, downloaded, read and most importantly, put into practice a bunch of the principles outlined in the eReport and got dramatic results.

10 pounds in one week – how dramatic.

Want another tip, not yet in the eReport?

Control Over Cravings Tip

* Add Glutamine to your daily food intake, 5 grams 4x a day.
5 grams is roughly a heaping teaspoon.
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human body and in short, glutamine improves immune system functioning while reducing cravings for carbohydrates and alcohol.  Glutamine before bed also helps increase human growth hormone, the stuff that builds our muscles and reduces our age.

Glutamine is slightly sweet, so just pop a spoonful in your mouth and wash it down with a little water on an empty stomach.  First thing in the am, mid afternoon, and before bed are some optimal times along with immediately after any training sessions you have.
Get the powder, not the capsules.
Glutamine has been a secret weapon of mine since 1991.

So, just a quick update to let you know what’s been going on around here.

Travel Update

I travelled to Nepal in October and spent 8 days climbing up to Mt Everest Base camp.  Got there on the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday October 13th.  I’ve got lots of pictures, but none published yet, just on my facebook profile.  I’ve also got lots of video there as well.  If we have not yet connected yet as friends on facebook, go ahead and add me – add a short note to say you’re a subscriber and join in the fun.

Website Update

I’ve been working on a new version of my website for over a year whenever I’ve had a opportunity.  It’s getting closer to a launch, and I’m hoping for this week.  I’ve set some goals for 2009 and one is to keep proper business hours, so I’ll be at my desk a lot more.

12 Weeks To Better Eating Program Update

I took a long break after finishing the first 6 weeks to do some camping and hiking and generally just enjoy the summer and get ready for Mt Everest (see the training program I used below).
I have begun work on the rest of the course material and should have it ready for late spring.  You’ll be the first to know and get the special subscriber price.  I look forward to your results and feedback.

Beta testers are bugging me to get back to writing again and I got one very heartfelt email from one, a friend, Robert.

I was thrilled with your [12 week program to better eating], I was positive and up beat and I had great success losing a lot of weight.  I have implemented a lot of your principles in my daily life and bottom line is that you've done well.  Your successful, and you have learned a lot by doing.  You've persavered and I commend you for that.  I value your friendship.  I wish to continue so pls finish your book, your principles far outweigh any diet I've tried.  Yours is tried, tested and true.  It comes from a lifetime of learning, from your heart.  Again, pls finish the [course].

Robert M

And lastly, some exercise and training information

Combat The Fat Bodyweight Workout

I talked about the Combat the Fat Workout in the late summer.  I got involved with the program and used it prior to my travels and to use my body weight to get in shape for Mt Everest.
It’s an amazing, well thought out course that progresses you through basic to challenging workouts that you can do anywhere.
I’ve wanted to improve my push-up ability and my chinups, so the Combat The Fat Workout was a perfect fit.  I LOVE the mini boot camp workouts he implements in between workout days and it’s a way I haven’t trained before.
I even learned something about why you should be doing cardio immediately AFTER your workout.  The workout frees up fatty acids and doing cardio AFTER your workout burns up any excess that are floating around your blood stream.
Ex Soldier and Master Fitness Trainer for the US military Jeff Anderson has just released his Top 5 military fat burning tips. They’re audio too.

Jeff’s military based workout is 100% approved by me.

Whats The Number One Reason People Don’t Workout?

Is it lack of money? Lack of motivation? Perhaps they lack the ideal workout plan?

Nope. It's TIME. Or rather the lack thereof.

I can’t say I’ve ever fallen into the “no time to workout” category because I’ve always put my training first.  Like I said on my facebook status update the other day “Rob is going to the gym because his 45 minute workout puts him 45 minutes closer to his goals”.  It got a lot of comments and inspired many people to change how they looked at their exercise plan.
Any time you invest in yourself, by following an exercise program or taking steps to improve how you eat and what you eat, you're taking steps toward your goals.  Be proud of it!
But what if you don’t have the time?
I understand what that’s like too because when I worked with Peak Potentials, I barely had any time.  I wish I knew then what I know now.
My fiancé and I have just entered a body transformation contest put on by the nutritional cleansing and fat burning company I spoke about last fall.  I’m thrilled to be going to a gym with her and now training with her too.  I have been craving a very intense workout for months now, when suddenly, like magic Jon Bensons Seven Minute Muscle Workout dropped into my lap.

- - - > http://www.SevenMinuteMuscleWorkout.com

At first I though, how in the hell can anyone get an intense workout in just Seven Minutes?  I’ve reviewed it over the holidays and I’ve just gotten started today.  It’s probably the most intense thing I’ve ever done.  It’s based on my weight training roots too, the way I used to train years and years ago, and yes,
... it’s done in 7 Minutes.

The program is so incredible, it calls for only five 7 minute workouts a week along with just 9 minutes of cardio.

That’s JUST over an hour a week.

Talk about do less and accomplish more.

Last year I threw out some beliefs I had about nutrition and got dramatic results.

This year I’m keeping my mind open and diving into this 7 Minute routine for 6 months and see where it takes me.  What I’m MOST excited about is that Darlene is doing it with me.  I’m so proud of her to trust me and take her training to the next level.

Oh, and the Seven Minute Muscle Workout has an ultra beginner program that proceeds the 7 minute workout for those just beginning.  That’s where Darlene is starting.

Did I mention how proud I am of her?

Check it out

Whats To Expect in 2009

I’ve been silent for too long.  I’ve been busy coaching people who have been getting great results and I simply have to talk more.

I’ll be sending out more information, more tips and more advice on various nutritional, exercise and supplement topics in the coming months.

If you’re an old subscriber, expect to read some of the best information I’ve ever talked about and if you’re new, welcome and enjoy the ride.
I've got some great ideas for a 2nd eReport too, to take what you've learned in the first report and expand upon it, moving you constantly forward in your quest for better health and achieveing your goal weight.  Right now, it's in my head, and my priority is the 12 Week Program to Better Eating, so I had better get to work.
It’s up to YOU to put the information into practice.  At some point you HAVE to put down the book and put the principles into practice.

As my father always told me (and I guess I’m getting old if I’m quoting my father),

Do one thing, do it well and then move on

The best advice I can give anyone is to grab hold of any of the principles in the eReport and put it into practice.  Do it for 21 days to anchor the habit and then incorporate another one and repeat.

Stephen did it 80% of the time and got 100% results.
Putting It Into Practice

1. Get some Glutamine – have 5 grams 4 times a day, first thing in the morning and right before bed

2. Get Active – go for a 30 minute walk 5 times a week or check out one of the exercise programs I spoke about above

- - - > http://www.CombatTheFatWorkout.com

- - - > http://www.SevenMinuteMuscleWorkout.com

3. Drink More Water – the foundation of your life, the foundation of your food principles, your nutrition principles.  Ditch any liquids that are NOT water and replace them with water.  Increasing your consumption of water should be your first nutritional priority.

4. Re-Read my eReport - “How I lost 300 pounds and how you can lose 10 pounds a month, every month, until you reach your goal weight”.  Grab another principle and put it into practice.  Do it for 21 days, and repeat.

If you haven’t gotten the report yet, it’s available at no cost here:

Lastly

Darlene and I are working on a cookbook based on nutrient dense foods.  There are NO calorie counts involved, NO points listed, just nutrient dense food recipes created in our home and it will free to subscribers.  These are the foods WE eat.   I’m not sure when that will happen, but I’m actively working on it because I want to get it out to you as soon as possible.  You deserve it.

Until Next Time

Eat Well, Be Well

Rob

PS: I swore to never do a long email like this ever again.  The rest will be short and sweet.  Right to the point, a tip on a single page, but there WILL be more of them.  Expect some amazing information in the upcoming days and months.

PPS: thanks for hanging in there and reading this far down.  You're the type that loves the details right?  how about "taking action now"? lol.
PPPS: Drink more water - have a sip and then fill up your bottle.  Do it now.
