Friend, the March Former Fat Guy E-zine gift draw has been made.  The deadline for getting in on the draw for the gift of over $80 was my mom's birthday, April 3rd.

I drove out to visit my mom, and had a good visit with her and my sister.  We had a special birthday dinner of my mom's choosing.

um...

well....

it was Kentucky Fried Chicken, Fries, gravy and potato salad.  I had her make her own coleslaw which I happen to love.  Here's the deal.  I eat totally good 99% of the time. I train hard and do 1 hour of cardio every morning.  I allow myself one "fr-e-e meal" per week and I planned it for her birthday.  She's my mom and she's 77, what was I going to do.

um..

should I mention dessert?

angel food cake, ice cream and strawberries.  lol.

not so fantastic for the former fat guy.   Well, I have some great tools at my disposal (Sunrider foods), and I quickly made up a double Fortune Delight to deal with all the fat and then some Vitataste to deal with the sugar.  I also had some Sunfit before the meal to try and block absorption of some of the excess carbs and fat too.  What I did notice was the amount of salt and how that affected me.  Geesh.

So, about the March Draw.  I've sent an email out to the winner, but I have not heard a reply back yet and it's been a couple of days, so there may be a second draw made if I don't here from her.  She's in the Navy, so she could have limited access to email.

I realised I had not introduced the winner from last month, so here's who won last month.

Tannis B from Winnipeg Manitoba

"I'm a 40 year old musician from Winnipeg, Manitoba with 2 other jobs ( part time admin. assistant in health care, and guitar teacher ). Married, no kids but loves animals ( has a big orange cat and 2 hermit crabs at the moment!! ). Lost 100 pounds recently and trying to maintain and lose body fat now and replace it with muscle. Works out 5-6 days a week and right now am in a frustrating plateau. Emails Rob weekly with questions that he's probably heard a hundred times before...."

Until next time

Eat Well, Be Well (and stay away from KFC and cake)
