    6: Three Weight Loss Tips

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Hello Friend

The 20 beta testers of my new 12 week course in whole foods
and how to begin eating better have just finished their first
week. Three have voluntarily checked in and reported getting
    results already.

One reported a loss of 4 pounds, the others 1.5 pounds.

Over 150 subscribers responded to the request for beta testers
and I want to thank you all for that.

I'm going to keep this short, because there's lots of good stuff
here, including an offer from a recent guest on Oprah's Big Give
program, Cameron Johnson. Cameron made $50,000 selling beanie
babies on Ebay that he bought from his younger sister for $150.

I was asked to create a report on how I lost 300 pounds, so that
is part of his bonus package.

There's also my favorite soup recipe down below, and one of the
tips that I included in the report

    Until Next Time

    Namaste

    2. Success Secrets from a 23-Year-Old Founder of 12 Companies

I'm writing to share a brand new bestselling business book that I
think you'll absolutely love! Donald Trump, T. Harv Eker, Mark
Victor Hansen and dozens of other business leaders and
bestselling authors have praised this book and what you won't
believe...is that it was written by a 23-year old kid!

I'm talking about Cameron Johnson, a recent guest on Oprah's Big
    Give program.

Cameron started his first business when he was just 9 years old.
He made $50,000 when he was 12. When he was only 15, his internet
company was generating more than $15,000 in daily revenue and he
became the youngest American appointed to the board of a
Japanese-based company. He's been there, done that. He actually
started 12 companies (each one was profitable) before he turned
    21. Now he's 23 and he's written about his success and the
principles he's learned (and wants to share with you).

It's titled, "You Call the Shots!" I really love the full title,
though, because it really describes what Cameron is all about:
"You Call the Shots: Succeed Your Way - and Live the Life You
Want - With the 19 Essential Secrets of Entrepreneurship."
That's right, it's all about Living the Life You Want, and that's
what Cameron will help you do through reading his book.

Click here to order your copy now:

Cameron has been featured in hundreds of magazines, newspapers,
and television programs worldwide. He's spoken at some of the
most prestigious universities and he's consulted for some of the
largest corporations in the world. Now he's sharing his message
and has put together a very special offer for you.

Order Cameron's amazing book, "You Call the Shots!" and you will
receive dozens of business-building, life-changing gifts from
America's brightest minds (me included). The book is less than
$15, yet the value of these bonus offers exceeds $4,500!

Click here to order your copy and receive over $4,500 in bonus
    gifts: http://www.cameronjohnson.com/bookbonus?10

Check out what these brilliant minds had to say:

    "A terrific book!"
    - Donald J. Trump

"An inspiring source of first-rate advice."
    - David Bach

    "Brilliant."
    - Mark Victor Hansen

    "Essential reading."
    - T. Harv Eker

"One of the best books I've read in a long time . . . extremely
well written and chock full of interesting advice."
    - Jill Rose, Editor in Chief, American Executive

    3. St Patrick's Day Green Soup

This is a wonderful green soup recipe that Darlene and I make
around the house at least twice a month. We make enough for
a few days, keeping it in the fridge of course.

We use blended cashews to "cream" it rather than dairy.

This recipe was posted in the recipe section of my website
a week before March 17th. For a new weekly whole food recipe,
simply follow the instructions on the bottom of each recipe
and you'll get emailed each Sunday with a new recipe.

Super Green St. Patrick’s Day Soup

1 full stem of broccoli (not just florets)
    2 stalks of celery, chopped
    1/2 a medium bok choy
1/2 bunch of asparagus, chopped into 2? lengths
1 cup edamame beans (frozen and thawed)
    2 leaves of Swiss Chard
2 leaves of kale (your favorite kind, but keep it green!)
    1 leek, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, pressed or minced
    1 bay leaf
    1 cup raw cashews
    5 cups vegetable soup stock
1/2 Tbsp dried basil (or fresh if you can get it)
    3 Tbsp Braggs seasoning
Celtic sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Wash and rinse all vegetables in a good veggie rinse to rid them
of any dirt, pesticides (hopefully you’ve chosen organic to cut
    down on those), etc.

Cut the stem off the broccoli and peel off the outer layer with a
knife or potato peeler. The inside part is much more tender and
sweet. You’ll know when it’s peeled enough because you can see
the outer layer looks stringier. Cut into 1/2? length, put into a
large soup pot with a small amount of the soup stock. Chop the
florets into smaller pieces, set aside for now.

Chop stems from bok choy, add to pot with broccoli stems. Chop
leaves into large pieces, set aside also. Do the same with the
Swiss Chard - add chopped stems to pot - set aside leaves.

Also add to the pot: chopped leek, garlic, and celery. Cook over
medium heat, stirring a few times, until the onions start to
    soften.

In the meantime de-stem the kale and chop the leaves into large
chunks, set aside. Discard stems or save in a zip lock bag to
make your own veggie soup stock later - add the broccoli peelings
too. Do the same with the spinach.

When onions and veggies are softened, add the rest of the
ingredients, except seasonings, to the pot: broccoli florets,
edamame beans, chard leaves, kale leaves, spinach, asparagus, bok
choy leaves, bay leaf, basil and remaining soup stock. This is
how fabulous and GREEN this soup looks while it is cooking. I
couldn’t resist taking an extra photo of it.

Bring to a boil, cover and turn down to simmer until all the
vegetables are cooked, about 10 minutes. While it is cooking, put
the cashews into a blender with 1 cup of distilled water. Blend
until it is a creamy consistency. Add to soup pot, heat through.

To blend soup, either transfer to a blender in batches or use a
hand blender (I use a high power one like a Bamix) right in the
pot like I do. Add Braggs and salt and pepper to taste.

Enjoy your Super Green St. Patrick’s Day Soup, and may the luck
of the Irish be with you this March 17th.

    4. Proper Way To Eat Fruit
        by Rob Cooper

Fruit is nature’s candy. It’s full of vitamins, minerals, fiber
    and water.

There’s a secret about fruit thought that I found out when I
first started my journey that I want to pass along to you. It’s
been kept in the dark and associated with extreme health methods
until recently when, finally accepted as truth, is making an
appearance in more health and weight loss programs.

When ripe, fruit is pre-digested and is meant to be eaten on an
empty stomach and then allowed 30 to 45 minutes to pass through
    your stomach.

If eaten after a meal, it sits on top of the food in the stomach,
    rots and ferments.

Here’s the secret to eating fruit:

    1. Eat only ripe fruit
    2. Eat fruit only on an empty stomach
    3. Allow the fruit at least 30 minutes to slide through yourstomach
    4. Drink a glass of pure water before eating your next meal

Then there are different varieties of fruit that have different
    eating order and transit times.

Melons: melons digest quicker than other fruits and should be
    eaten first and preferably alone.

Bananas: bananas are a little slower and require 45 minutes to
digest. They’re also mucous forming (notice how you cough a bit
more after eating them), so choose other fruits over bananas if
you can, or at least eat them a little less often. I used to eat
one every day at 11 am before lunch. I eliminated this one habit
and dropped 5 pounds by the end of the next week.

This fruit thing sounds a bit odd at first, but once you’ve done
it and proved it to yourself, you’ll understand. Where I was
once allergic to strawberries, I can now eat them as often as I
like without breaking out in hives.

Think of fruit as an appetizer rather than a dessert. Have some
fruit while you’re preparing your meal, or before heading out to
lunch then drink a glass of water to rinse your stomach before
your meal. Consider having a piece of fruit after leaving the
    office and heading home.

For weight loss purposes, limit your fruit to no more than two
pieces per day for best results. Once you have attained your
goal weight, feel free to increase it as you see fit.

    6. Three Weight Loss Tips
        By Rob Cooper

    * Increase Your Fiber

Fiber is nature’s weight loss power house. There are two types,
soluble and insoluble. Soluble is the gummy type that can act
like a sponge and is found in foods like oatmeal and beans.
Insoluble fiber acts like a broom, sweeping out the debris and is
found in things like vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

Soluble fiber can help lower cholesterol while insoluble fiber
contains fibers that cannot be digested but add bulk to our meal.

Both fibers swell up in our stomach creating a feeling of
fullness and being high in water and low in calories, are a
perfect way to improve both digestive and colon health. High
fiber foods are the best tools for anyone wanting to shed some
pounds. All of the super foods contain fiber, so that list might
be a good place to start.

    * Remove White Flour Products

White bread, white pasta, white rice, white crackers, pancake
mix, tortilla’s, buns, anything made with white flour should
simply be tossed out (or given to your local homeless shelter or
food bank). White flour products are broken down too quickly in
your stomach and turned to sugar too fast.

White flour products have little if any fiber, and may act like
glue in your intestines, blocking the absorption of essential
    nutrients.

...more white product removal tips here:
    http://www.formerfatguyblog.com/2008/01/25/3-weight-loss-tips-5.html

    * Drink Green Tea

Researchers say the results indicate that substances found in
green tea known as catechins may trigger weight loss by
stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat.

I’ve consumed green tea since I had my first experience with it
back in 1991. I’ve had a cup or 3 of Sunrider Calli tea almost
every day since and Fortune Delight makes up the rest of the
fluids I consume after water. Green tea has become a part of my
life and I drink it for all the benefits aside from any possible
    weight loss effects.

While I can’t vouch for any other brands or types of green tea, I
have seen the research both confirming it’s effect on fat burning
as well as documents showing little or no change.
My belief is simple, that I want to drink something hot, so it
might as well be something that might even remotely benefit while
being very safe. Again, that’s why I choose Sunrider brand Calli
tea - but hey, that’s just me
