    If so, and if you aren't even measuring your fat, then how do you
    know you've burned any fat? How do you know you haven't been
    burning your muscle or losing just water weight?

    Good questions eh? they are important ones too, because if you
    are losing muscle, you are heading for disaster.

    Why is it that so many people start strong on a diet, then hit a
    plateau a couple months or even just weeks into the program?

    9 times out of 10, the reason is because muscle loss causes your
    metabolism to decrease. A slower metabolism makes it harder to
    keep losing body fat.

    There it is! There's one of the major reasons for fat loss
    plateaus.

    Your defense against the fat plateau is to BURN FAT, NOT MUSCLE

    To burn fat and keep the muscle, you must MEASURE your fat and
    muscle, not just your scale weight.
