    Hello Friend

    I'm preparing for a little mini vacation. I've bought a
    jeep from a friend in Phoenix and am flying down to pick it
    up and drive it home. It's a 2 day drive. I have some friends
    attending a convention in Las Vegas next week, so I thought
    I would fly to Vegas for a few days, spend some time with
    them, then fly over to Phoenix, so that's what I'm doing.

    I'll be on the road for 2 days listening to the new Joe Vitale
    CD's I just received in the mail.

    Lots going on in the forum and a winner was picked for this
    first natural health and we-ight lo-s-s scavenger hunt.

    2. Scavenger Hunt Winner

    Jessie from the forum is the winner of the first scavenger hunt on
    my websites.

    She found the hidden icon in just a few days referring to herself
    as "such a ninja".

    Jessie goes by the handle "Blush" in the forum and being the only
    person to find the icon in this inaugural natural health and
    weight loss scavenger hunt , won her prize, a copy of Tom Venuto's
    Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle.

    I just bought it for her and am sending it as soon as I find out
    where she wants me to send it to. It's a 4.5 meg file including
    all the bonus material.

    3. Change Your Thoughts Change Your Life

    A friend from the UK contacted me recently. He's been a long
    time reader and was upset at me for not writing enough about what
    I do every day, how I think, what I eat and how I train. I
    explained to him that recently I've been writing more in the
    forum than on my blogs.

    He's a biker. A pedal biker and goes by the handle "Painted Man"
    to honor a good friend of his who was killed while in a cycle
    race in the UK by a drunk driver.

    He created his own blog to write his journey, his path and what's
    going on in his life. He and his wifey recently had twin girls.

    I've been reading his blog.

    He posted one day and used the phrase:

    "I had planned to punish myself for bad food last night by riding
    into work and out of work."

    I commented on his post and this was what I said

    "Change your focus, change you life buddy.

    You consider working your body through exercise to be punishment.
    Then all exercise becomes punishment doesn't it?

    consider rewarding yourself by honoring your body and working
    it... making it stronger and better.

    change your focus, change you life.

    Instead of dwelling on a bad meal the night before, focus on the
    day ahead and making good food choices. Lean protein, Good Fats
    and vegetables... get rid of the starchy carbohydrates and you
    will remove cravings for shit food.

    Plan each day, honor your success' each day. Look at everything
    you did right. You can choose to focus on what went wrong, or
    what went right.... which do you choose?

    each night, write out 3 things that you did successfully that day
    and honor them. Honor yourself for striving to be better."

    Where attention goes, energy flows. If you look at such a
    positive aspect of physical fitness as punishment, you'd steer
    clear of it wouldn't you? Put a positive spin on it, and the
    energy changes and you're attracted to it.

    So, a few days go by and then I get an email from Joe Vitale
    explaining that Wayne Dyer's new book "Change Your Thoughts
    Change Your Life
    " was released.

    Coincidence? nope.

    Miracle? yep.

    I'm talking about it and then I get an email about the very
    subject? Do you think I am being told I should get the book?
    Yep. I Put it into my shopping cart on Amazon.

    Then, an hour later I get an email from my girlfriend showing me
    that a new book by Wayne Dyer was released called "Change your
    Thoughts, Change Your Life".

    So that just hammered home the principle and I now positively
    know I was supposed to get the book and now I'm suggesting it to
    you.

    This is all a part of manifesting and creating your reality. You
    attract exactly what it is that you want. I'm reading the book
    Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale right now and purchased a CD set
    he offered as well. I Just got it in the mail today which is
    perfect as I can listen to it while I'm driving back from Phoenix
    next week on my 2 day drive.

    4. A Calorie By Any Other Name

    Many years ago I had a discussion with a personal trainer
    colleague of mine. I was young and hungry, and he was definitely
    more established than I at the time. He had some really nice
    training programs that yielded some decent results. The thing was
    he didn’t know squat when it came to nutrition. His basic
    philosophy was "calories in , calories out." That is the basic
    methodology of many trainers and nutrition centers. It can work,
    to a point, but back to my story. He was saying that basically
    his clients can eat whatever they want, so long as the they
    burned more calories than they took in. He did not care what the
    macronutrient ratios were, just the caloric total. Ok, so I gave
    him a challenge. Pick any 2 clients, put them on a 2000 calorie
    diet. One client can only eat Frosted Flakes. The other client
    could only eat lean chicken and broccoli. Put them on the same
    training program and see who loses the most fat after 4 weeks.
    Not surprisingly he did not take the challenge. He insisted that
    it was all math, and that so long as the calories coming in were
    less than the calories being expended, the client would lose fat.
    I knew I would never change his mind, so I left it at that.

    Now let me explain why I am right. Total caloric intake is only
    PART of the whole picture. Everyone is different. And everyone
    will have a different hormonal response to a given food. Let me
    give you an example.

    Holy Crap Rob!

    I NEEDED to let you know how your messages help
    me through my journey to a better health. SO far, I've lost 75
    pounds out of the 215 I plan to lose. I am already "thin" in my
    mind lol lol...but one thing is sure : I am in better shape I
    ever been. I train 90 minutes a day and I LOVE it. I eat
    good...VERY good things and I am just totally thrilled !

    and...I thank you...deeply...you do not know it but you and your
