What good are certifications, education, or associations in a job search?

  • Don't trust amateurs. Some journalist said
certifications weren't any good for getting a job.
That's an amateur speaking. Some certifications
are a big deal, some aren't.

Degrees and belonging to associations also work
    sometimes. Other times they don't.

    Monday at 10 a.m. I'll answer questions I've
    gotten about certifications, education, and
associations and your job search and career.
Whether you are an engineer, salesperson, welder,
or waitress, I'll tell you how to find and use the
best credentials to get you a job and get you a
    promotion.

My 11 hour series on how to get a job is availble
at www.howtoreallygetagreatjob.com . There is an
hour just on what your attitude needs to be.
Another seminar on accomplishments goes through
step by step instructions on how to prove you are
    someone special.

Every Monday at 10 a.m. Eastern time I host a
conference call to discuss questions you want to
ask me about your job search. Feel free to email
me beforehand, or chime in during the call. I'll
put a recording of the call up on my website in
    case you can't make it.
