Constitution Party holds State
Convention at Birthplace of Texas
(Washington on the Brazos) - the most
conservative and only 100% pro-life political
party in Texas, the Constitution Party, held
their state convention here Saturday June 12th,
electing new officers, confirming their
platform, and listening to a variety of
speakers. Officers for the next four
years were elected, with Bryan Malatesta being
re-elected unanimously as chairman.
Keynote speaker Abby Johnson impressed the
audience with her story of how she came to the
realization that her career of running an
abortion clinic was actually killing babies.
Attorney Tim Baldwin discussed the issue
of State Sovereignty and how We The People are
seeing the same issues presented to the States
of the Union as the Colonies heard from King
George and Parliament in the 1700's.
Termite Watkins inspired the audience
with his challenge for all Americans to stand
up and throw out every sitting congressman, as
he explained the work of "Get Out of Our
House!" (GOOOH).
Because of prohibitive state laws in Texas, the
Constitution Party will not make ballot access
this year, but will continue to build the
organization and look forward to having the
strength to make ballot access in the
