More Marketer BS - typical lies, hype, and straight out BS!

I must comment on some of the BS that I have seen lately, and it makes me laugh that the perpetrators think we are so stupid as to believe them - Oh no I am not talking about Politicians in case you may be trying to guess first ..... lol

Though some of these marketers are achieving the credibility and same status in our book as some of the politicians have ..... lol

First of all there is the marketer that is going to retire - we have heard this crap many times before - and though this particular marketer maybe really retiring - his team may have made a mistake sending out an email two days later after his retirement announcement - and I quote .....

a small group of people will have the opportunity to WORK WITH ME to dramatically accelerate the speed

end of quote - does this sound like retirement to you or BS like it does to us?

and then there is the Marketer claiming they are going to jail if someone sues them for medical bills. Now I am not trying to relay that these folks do not have a problem or are short on dough ..... but trying to say that you may be sued and go to jail for debt in America is a package of BS lies.

This is the way it really works for those of you whom do not know ..... First you are scheduled to go to civil court hearing, then once the appearance is made if you show up (in many of these cases the defendant does not even show up), the defendant and the plaintiff each gives their side of the story and the judge makes a judgment. In the case where the defendant does not show up, the plaintiff gets a default judgment and almost always gets their entire claim - they win.

So lets assume that you lose and the court says you must pay XXX amount of dollars. Either you pay it or you do not. If you do not  pay the plaintiff - the plaintiff has a few options in which NONE of them are jail time.

Option 1 - they send you to collections and the amount is recorded on your credit report.

Option 2 - the plaintiff signs and pays more money to have a sheriffs auction to sell off your assets in an attempt to collect the funds. The auction amount if not enough to pay the amount in full offsets the amount owed. The plaintiff still sends you to collections for the remaining balance and the debt is still recorded on your credit report.

But still no jail time. This whole claim about possibly going to jail is just MAJOR Bull Shit! A fear tactic in which we are entirely sick of hearing about from people and politicians.

Oh I forgot one other option, this person could go and file Bankruptcy too and be relieved of all debt they owe (with the exception of taxes, tickets (like speeding tickets etc.), and child support) - sometimes Bankruptcy is the best choice.

and if you really believe you will go to jail or can go to jail for debt even though it is not debt to the IRS, Criminal court action, or not paying child support ..... I have some oceanfront property in Arizona that I will sell you reeaaalll cheap .....

One last word of caution concerning judgments ..... until they are fulfilled, paid off, or discharged by a Bankruptcy court - they last a lifetime, meaning that if you do not own anything of value now but 20 years later you do, I can bring my judgment to the court and they will auction off the asset in order to pay the judgment, however, if the judgment is discharged from a bankruptcy court the issue has truly ended and you can start over again fresh as long as you included the judgment or debt in the bankruptcy.

Rather then scream I am going to jail or even think that - if you really have this type of things hanging over your head and no hope of paying them off - the absolute best advice is to consult a Bankruptcy Attorney to see if filing Bankruptcy is the best option for you :-)
