Busted - Giveaway Fraud

Unbelievable but true people cheat in Giveaways - which in essence is committing fraud and it is a sad situation plus truly pathetic.

In addition there are some unruly hosts out there all too willing to do whatever it takes to make a buck regardless of the ethics or moral implications.

JV partners/Contributors willing to try to defeat the system by mutli-clicking referral links to remain in events that they did not refer nor upgrade into - thinking it will help there own personal cause while actually attempting to steal from the other hard working JV Partners and Contributors whom do the right thing (referring or upgrading or in the case of premium partners they do both) while at the same time scamming the Host of the event.

Then just as ruthless and pathetic you have some Member that comes to see just what they can steal from Contributors of the event. Using fictitious or throw away emails just to be able to Steal the gift from the contributor - never intending to truly subscribe to the contributors list for even a second to see what more they may have to offer - of course how can you blame some of them when they get hit with the same old "buy my crap" emails but of course they never know or find out.

Don't get me wrong there are a lot of good people out there doing the right thing and fortunately for us all many more of them then the bad people at all levels.

But just the same they are out there and we as hosts do our best to thwart their activities - identifying those whom are dishonest and make sure they do not benefit from their dishonest efforts.

So for the couple of you out there whom think your going to cheat the system by clicking on your own referral link or signing up through your own referral links to get reinstated after being downgraded for lack of referrals - wrong answer and think again as you now well know, it did not work! - we wasted your time with no time of our own because our software will not allow you to get away with it :-) and you got what you deserve - nothing!

More on Giveaways coming in the Thursday Newsletter where Bob writes in and many points are covered ..... stay tuned .....

Saturday Server Attack

On Saturday 02-05-2011 in the wee hours of the morning US EST we were attacked by a group in Asia, primarily China, that gave the appearance that our servers were down when in fact they were just overwhelmed with Asian IP's hitting hard - this is commonly known as a DOS attack or Denial of Service attack.

Within minutes of the initial attack we nailed the attackers main IP block which then they came after us with a powerful Bot Net of computers that seemed to be coming from everywhere and are almost certainly compromised systems.

It took several hours to mitigate the attack due to our upstream provider found it necessary to block them at the core NOC router which required management level approval and that it was also Saturday Morning at 3:00 AM on the East Coast when high power techs were not readily available - meaning that if this were during the normal work week it would have been mitigated in minutes instead of hours.

Due to our very own Server Guard Linux Firewall and relatively quick actions by the NOC, no data was lost or compromised and the Servers were reduced of there being attacked - load - returning to normal operation without further incident :-)

One connectivity customer of ours asked why would they want to do this?

Easy - Straight up some of our web sites are ranked within the top 100,000 sites in the world on Alexa - which means traffic - exactly what the phishers, scammers, spammers, and hackers need and want.

Bob Writes In ..... Go Green Bay Packers!

Bob writes in, named spelled backwards so nobody knows whom we are talking about :-) and she had this tidbit to offer about the Super Bowl :-)

Every Red Blooded American should jump in line to support the Green Bay Packers!

The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon thus earning them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. By doing so, they saved the Hard-Working, Red Blooded, Taxpaying Americans literally several
million dollars of tax money.

How you say?

Simple... we were told that if the Chicago Bears had won that President Obama (and probably his family)
would be attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his hometown team.

Since the Bears lost...the President won't be attending. The money saved from not using Air Force 1, the limousines, all the additional security, and let's not forget Michelle Obama's entourage, is literally several million dollars!

Therefore every American should cheer on the Green Bay Packers at the Super
Bowl to show them our gratitude.

Thanks you for listening, Bob

Busted: Pro-Mubarak Thugs are Police Officers

Ron Paul's historic showdown with the Federal Reserve is about to begin

How to access the Internet... even if the government shuts it down

From Washington's Blog:

It should surprise no one that some if not all of the violent pro-Mubarak forces are plain clothes police officers.

The Guardian notes:

Sharif Kouddous, a prolific Egyptian tweeter and blogger in Cairo, describes "a brutal and coordinated campaign of violence" by the Mubarak regime, in an article posted on Democracy Now's website:

"Suddenly, rocks started falling out of the sky," said Ismail Naguib, a witness at the scene. "Rocks were flying everywhere. Everywhere." Many people were hit. Some were badly cut, others had arms and legs broken. The mob then charged in; some rode on horseback and camels, trampling and beating people. Groups of them gathered on rooftops around Tahrir and continued to pelt people with rocks.

"It's a massacre," said Selma al-Tarzi as the attack was ongoing. "They have knives, they are throwing molotov bombs, they are burning the trees, they are throwing stones at us ... this is not a demonstration anymore, this is war."

Some of the attackers were caught. Their IDs showed them to be policemen dressed in civilians clothes. Others appeared to be state sponsored "baltagiya" (gangs) and government employees. "Instead of uniformed guys trying to stop you from protesting. You've got non-uniformed guys trying to.....
From Zero Hedge:

While everyone is relishing the Fed's third and only mandate these days, namely to send the Russell 2000 to 36,000 and cotton limit up to infinity and beyond, while everyone else is terrified to short stock in advance of what increasingly appears like near certain additional quantitative easing, congressman Ron Paul has announced that the first Monetary Policy subcommittee meeting will focus on one of those two now forgotten Fed mandates, that of creating jobs.

"I'm very pleased to hold our first subcommittee hearing in the new Congress on a topic that could not be more critical, namely unemployment.

Despite enormous amounts of monetary and credit expansion by the Federal Reserve in recent years, the nation's unemployment picture remains bleak.

"While many focus on the impact of fiscal policies on employment, the effect of monetary policy often goes unexamined.

In my view, we are now experiencing the bust that inevitably results from the misallocation of capital and human resources in a period of artificially cheap credit.

It is important to understand the Federal Reserve’s role in creating today’s unemployment crisis, while also highlighting that high unemployment and low economic growth can persist even in the face of tremendous monetary inflation .....

From Zero Hedge:

This is a great companion article to the brief article I posted yesterday about the expected increasing growing civil unrest and violence worldwide that will be the fallout from central banks' highly inflationary fiat currency devaluation schemes. If mass civil unrest strikes a country, a government may respond by banning internet access and severely restricting information flow. To address this concern, Patrick Miller and David Daw just published an article to let you know how you can maintain your freedom of information even when your government tries to ban this right.

I've reprinted some of the most pertinent excerpts from "Get Internet Access When Your Government Shuts it Down," by Patrick Miller and David Daw below. I figured that this information will probably be useful to someone living in a country where the next revolution is brewing.

"Even if you've managed to find an Internet connection for yourself, it won't be that helpful in reaching out to your fellow locals if they can't get online to find you. If you're trying to coordinate a group of .....

Ron Paul: Repeal The Un-Patriot Act

After my study of the US Constitution and the Un-Patriotic Act, I find as usual and typical that the liar politicians named it exactly the opposite of the truth - not only is it Un-Constitutional in every way, it is the most UN-Patriotic Law that has ever been passed ..... Justice seems to be for only those that can afford it in the US - like those unfortunate souls that were imprisoned in DC until someone who got arrested and had money took the Anti-Gun law to the Supreme Court - The Supreme Court they shot it down in flames as illegal and Un-Constitutional. But prior to that for twenty years people went to prison and were prosecuted under that law illegally. - Viktor K.
