JV Partner
Participation
Criteria
In
this article I am not referring to
JV Participation in our events but
our participation in others events
- primarily Giveaways though we use
similar criteria for other JV
relationships as well.
We
receive requests to partner in JV
Events all the time especially
giveaways. It is obvious that we do
not participate and promote all the
available events.
The
idea is that Giveaway Events are
reciprocal promotion, list sharing,
and list building events - or at
least they are supposed to be
though obviously others do not see
it that way.
When we receive
an invitation to participate in
someone else's event - the first
thing we do is check to see if they
have recently or are currently
participating in any of our like
events and to what degree they are
participating.
Of
course our
relationship with
said promoter may be of such that
most of this criteria is irrelevant
as is true with a certain few that
we are not going to name
here.
This could very
well be the deal breaker and
primary factor determining our
level of participation or non
participation at that very
moment.
When and if the
event gets past the above mentioned
criteria the next thing we examine
is the event itself. Is it in a
niche we participate? Are the
graphics good? Are the dates in
conflict with our own events? What
is the duration of the event? and
last but not least what is the cost
of being an upgraded Partner in the
event.
So
the bottom line is that we do not
participate and/or promote all
events - we are somewhat picky
about them.
If
you want us to promote your event
or product you must meet certain
criteria which includes but is not
limited to reciprocal actions or
possibly taking the first step by
actively participating in one of
our events, especially if you are
relatively new to IM or this part
of the market.
